Officer’s Chick-fil-A comments investigated

DALLAS - A controversy surrounding Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day has come to light at Dallas police headquarters.
Dallas Police Association President Ron Pinkston said Sgt. Mark Johnson of the Southeast Patrol Division brought a Chick-fil-A sandwich to the briefing room last Wednesday.
It was the same day thousands of people across the country went to the restaurant chain as part of an effort to show support for the CEO's stand against gay marriage.
Two lesbian officers filed complaints against the sergeant. They said his comments and actions left them embarrassed and humiliated.
Sgt. Johnson, who has been with the department for 12 years, was transferred. The internal affairs department is investigating the complaints.

I’d like to know more of the story. In addition to the Chick-Fil-A, it referred to “comments”. What were the comments? In any case, they are law officers, and gay marriage is illegal in Texas.
I hope the people of Dallas put the heat on city hall in a big way to make the police dept back down!
Whoever punished him should be fired. Whoever even considered punishing him should be fired.

Notice how it’s perfectly okay to name the male officer in question (subjecting him to the very real possibility of off-duty reprisals)... but the two bull dykes, OTOH, have their identities conveniently cloaked.

Some can make comments. Like a certain cop in my city who said if parishioners at a Haitian Church get tickets for parking in No Parking, Handicapped or blocking drive ways. he will ticket cars in the other church parking lots.
Yep. What were the comments? If he directed offensive comments at the officers he knew were gay, then that’s inappropriate.

Me too. Boo hoo they were embarrased and humiliated. I am embarrased that I have to deal with butch police officers in our force.
If he was transferred to another precinct where there are no Bull Dykes he is probably happy.
I know if I were a Police Officer and got into a disturbmce I don’t want a 5’5” Bull Dyke coming to my rescue, I want a 6’4” male officer with a bad attitude.
Another Wrong Headline.
He was not punished for buying Chick-fil-A. He was punished for responding to the 2 butches who started in with him.
You know, you’d think it would take more than a chicken sandwich to make lesbian cops feel embarrassed and humiliated. Seems like that would sorta go along with the territory.
