Clearly a Democrat-Obama plant who wants to knock the social conservatives completely out of the election.
Particularly now that so many African-American clergy are speaking out against Obama because of his ‘evolution’ towards ‘gay marriage.’

Retired naval officer calls for gay marriage in GOP platformIt would be political suicide.
To: scottjewell
Retired Navy Capt. Joan Darrah, in a letter to McDonnell, said the freedom to marry is in keeping with the partys ideology. Methinks perhaps Joan was retired from the Navy on a section 8.

A "she" retired Navy Captain, and people wondered why people like me didn't want women serving on ships or subs.
She is demanding gay marriage.
Let her go somewhere else (Saudia Arabia, perhaps) to peddle her pro-sodomy ideology.

Some ex-naval officer wants Republicans to support gay marriage? It's not like Republicans are going to do that.
Just about anybody can "call for" just about anything and it means nothing.

Let’s see...the Captain’s period of active-duty service began well before “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” during the days when recruits were questioned on their sexual identity and being gay was grounds for dismissal from service. I’m guessing the Captain lied back then, so she’s guilty of fraudulent enlistment (at a minimum). Too bad we can’t bring her back to active duty, charge her with that crime under the UCMJ and collect hundreds of thousands of dollars in active duty and retired pay that she has received improperly.
Funny how that little legal technicality never makes its way into stories like this one.

"Retired naval officer calls for gay marriage in GOP platform" I'm guessing it was Jimmy Carter or John McCain.

No surprise that Darrah is a gay activist.
excerpt:

If the GOP goes queer, Oboma will win in a landslide. There's no way normal Americans will be able to hold their noses with something as vile as this.
There's no such thing as homosexual tolerance. It was a very successful public silencing campaign, but behind the voting curtain it's a different story. The fascists have no control over the voters minds in the privacy of the voting booth.
To: scottjewell
Well they’ve already nominated a candidate who did more for gay marriage as governor than Obama did as president.
So why not go ahead and put in their platform what they stand for. For that matter, they could copy the democrats platform.
The GOP platform could just be a big “ME TOO!”.
Let the exodus of both parties begin to a real alternative.
