She's touted by the liberal media as one of the brightest commentators on television, yet MSNBC's Rachel Maddow got thoroughly demolished by National Review editor Rich Lowry on Sunday's Meet the Press.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Liberals do not prize wisdom and intelligence. For them, it’s all about personality and cleverness.
Rachel Maddow argues like a girl - lots of eye rolling, smirks, attitude, and emotion but short on logic and facts.
And that is right about where any female likeness ends.
The Democrats will now savage Romney/Ryan whenever Romney/Ryan says somethign Conservative.

And the media will jump all over Romney/Ryan for their blatant hypocrisy.
It's 2008 all over.
Everytime I follow one of these newsbusters “X destroys Y” I am underwhelmed about 80% of the time.
Lowry could have done better in hammering the point of “Then why are all you Libs bashing Ryan?”

Did I miss something? Rich Lowery didn’t “destroy” anybody. If anything, Maddow looked like she won the argument just by her sheer smugness.
She’s a typical liberal; it doesn’t matter that she’s stupid. She’s got rudeness and most important, to them, she’s Gay. There is no way they’ll figure out what a fraud she is. Like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, helping the poor (i.e., the state) has been very, very good for her.
Surrender much? It's looking more like 2010 all over. The fact is 99% of dim bulb moderates who will decide this election don't know Obama has already cut $700 billion from medicare.
That is LAW the dims will have to defend every single time the Ryan PLAN is debated. They don't want that discussion so we will see more Romney killed my wife ads.

I thought he did a good job up until the end. You’re point is well taken though. When she finally asked the question at the end, his response should have been “Romney is at the top of the ticket however your point is well taken; why is the left attacking Paul Ryan when Obama cut 700 billion out of this program?”
Ya know, the libs are always touting their people as the smartest, brightest, etc. Kinda’ makes you wonder if they really believe that, or maybe they know what we know (they’re not!).

Not quite. Yes, the MSM can be expected to trash the Republican candidates for President, VP and every other national office; it's their 'template'. But the biggest difference this time around is that Obama is no longer an empty canvas on which people can paint their ideal President. He is a KNOWN quantity this year, and some who voted for him last time have no intention of making that mistake again. They may not be saying that to the pollsters, because they don't want to be thought of as 'racists', which the media tends to do to folks who don't bow at the altar of Obama. I think this is why the polls are still so close; I don't think the election will be.
When I think “destroys” I wanna see someone so bloody and battered that they are embarrassed to show their face on TV for 2 weeks. They gotta be pinned down to the point where the spin doesn’t work. It rarely happens.
That Rachel Maddow guy really creeps me out.
If you didn’t see Lowry trash maddow, you missed a lot. Maddow thinks being a smart-ass is the same as being smart. Many leftists have the same attitude, which is why she’s popular with the snotty college kid crowd. However, her snarky, smirking, sarcasm doesn’t stand up when confronted by facts. Maddow is too stupid to realize this, and gets her ass handed to her whenever she accidentally allows somebody with an actual command of the facts to speak.
