People of Color: Romney/Ryan Plans Take Us Back to ‘Less Equitable’ Times
AFL-CIO ^ | 8/13/2012 | Mike Hall

Posted on 08/13/2012 3:06:01 PM PDT by mdittmar

“For progressives and people of color, it’s hard to imagine a worse choice” than Mitt Romney’s selection of Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) as his running mate, writes Imara Jones on the blog Colorlines today. He says the pair:

represent a retread of 40 years’ worth of Republican ideas on economics, race and the role of government. Not content to let failure remain dormant, they want to reanimate bankrupt concepts and take them to a whole, new level.

Jones writes that “Romney’s and Ryan’s discredited proposals would take America back to a less-just, less equitable place.”

To them, that era of racial and economic injustice was America at its best—and the effort to end it created the current economic mess….Nothing illustrates this perverse understanding of economic history more dramatically than the very reason why Ryan was chosen: the popularity amongst conservatives of his infamous “Ryan budget.”

better to rob a bear of her cubs than a moocher of his entitlement.

at any events, better not bring a knife to a gunfight.

Not content to let failure remain dormant,

... instead of actively promoting it, like Obama ...

they want to reanimate bankrupt concepts

Like socialism, nanny-statism, collectivism, marxism, ...

and take them to a whole, new level.

Though they can't hope to match the level of incompetence demonstrated by the current administration, which doesn't hasn't had a new idea since the Manifesto was published.

Oh the terrible injustice. Some will have to work to get welfare. You might get a little less welfare over the next ten years. You take less of other people’s hard earned money. You don’t get to have 8 kids AND bankrupt the nation while not doing any work.

Yeah it’s awful. /s BTW 40 years ago was 1972. Hardly a time of great discrimination against blacks or anyone else.

The Race Card: It’s like a one trick pony. If that’s all you got, then you got to keep using it.

‘People of color’ is alright, but ‘colored people’ isn’t?
I don’t get it.
Why do they keep changing what they prefer to be called?
What is the current preference?
Is ‘black’ out? What?

Get the race card OUT of the White House. This has permitted 0bama to do damage no other president would've been allowed to get away with. Eric Holder as well. We need someone in the WH who is ACCOUNTABLE for what he does, and 0bama clearly is not because of the dreaded 'RACE CARD':

In the 1800s democrats used to argue that slavery was good for blacks. Now they argue that slavery is good for all of us. The only real problem democrats ever had with slavery was that the slaves were privately owned.

Amazing how Democrat polices have made life WORSE for blacks and yet the Democrats are the ones who bring up race all the time. About what I’ve come to expect of the party of looters and liars.

To crypto-Marxists like Ubama, “equitable” is equal distribution of misery, and the more misery the better.

Folks, look, things are tough all over.
But the country is on the precipice of disaster, and we need FR more now than ever.
As Conservatives, we pay for what we use. If you've ever thought about becoming a monthly, just $5 a month would go so far.
C’mon now, if some han-n-egger from the neighborhood like me can be a monthly, you can do $5 a month.
It only takes a second, and it's a bargain at twice the price!

To me that sounds like a ringing endorsement! Can't think of many groups that I want to see pissed off more than commies and race pimps.

Quoth Plugs Biden:

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Quoth Dingy Harry Reid:

Obama was “light skinned” and had “no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

Quoth Hillary Clinton:

“******* Jew *******”

Quoth Bill Clinton:

“A few years ago, (Obama) would have been getting us coffee.”

So, tell me again, who are the bigots and racists?

Did anyone really expect that those in the Obama camp would actually approve of anyone Romney selected? The reaction from the O-bots is totally predictable and can be summed up as

“WAHHHHHHH!!”

Poor widdle babies
