No, we did not try dis-arming the VC. We killed them.
And the facts are, that worked out rather well.
IMO, it is apples/oranges to make that comparison for the U.S.A.
What has to be asked is, "Are you willing to kill someone who you might know if they are part of the FedGov machine trampling the constitutional rights and subjugating the country?"

That, sadly, is a question that may have to be answered.
Equally sad is the fact that many many people are willing to do just that to you if you are part of what the FedGov decides to remove from existence.

Hell they can't even disarm the Crips and the Bloods. Will some patriots most likely die in such a situation yes, but they died at Lexington and Concord to and we know how that turned out.

The .22 subsonic is the most deadly sniper rifle round for urban warfare Imo.
Sure it takes alot to take another mans life, but when they will take yours
by breaking constitutional law, then civil unrest is inevitable.

The military will not be in our streets. And the police will walk after
a few confrontations. Those confrontations will slow each assault against citizenry
so badly that it would take law enforcement a century to clean up each house
one by one with swat. Then there are the informant neighbors to deal with.
