Gee! What a coinkydink. 7 of the top 10 are in California. 9 of the top 10 are on the left coast. 8 of the top 10 are cities with high populations of illegal aliens.

I'm just sure it is a coincidence.

But what is Anderson, S.C. doing on the list? I've been there and it is a generally nice town with good people.

Yes, coincidence. All cultures are the same, right?

Where’s the Newark airport on that list?

I’m surprised San Diego is not on the list. Cars stolen here are often over the border before they’re even reported as stolen. Of course, there are no ILLEGALs here. /s

No surprise to we who lived there.

After 50+ years in So Cal, Texas now has my allegiance.

Stew in your liberal juices, So Cal. And your fellow liberal paradises such as Washington...

What, in Chicago they are murdered before the cars are stolen?

Most of the California cities on this list are in the San Joaquin Valley. Victor Davis Hanson, who lives in the Selma area and teaches in Fresno, has often described the San Joaquin Valley as being like the Third World.

Good question. Perhaps it is easy pick-ins for chop shops out of Atlanta.

Who wants a car with bullet holes and blood and brains all over the interior? ;-)

Some months back, Boston's mayor, Mumbles Menino defended illegal aliens that were wanted for GTA.

More recently, he briefly led the rash of illegal municipal government attacks on Chick-Fil-A.

I have 2 cars. One of them is my is my winter time go around car which is a 1996 ford Taurus I picked up at an auction for 1500 bucks 7 years ago. Odds on somebody stealing that one are about zero. My other is my baby, my 1966 Toyota FJ-40 which I rescued from the midwest in 1998. That vehicle will be pried from my cold dead fingers. Though not a high risk of theft from regular car thieves, it does have a high risk of theft for joyriding from idiot teenagers. For that one I have a very well hidden kill switch, that is used daily. I can easily afford a nicer in town car, but don’t see the need to impress anybody...besides, people whom I’d be more inclined hang out with are more impressed with the landcruiser.

Naw. There’s just lots of crime in Anderson. The town is made up mostly of white meth-heads and black thugs.

The ‘burbs are fine, but the city itself is a freakin’ zoo.

How about that state income tax calculation comparison?
And the comparison on Auto insurance for each city
And the comparison of unemployment rates?
Uhaul rates California to Texas?
Rates of companies leaving one state for the other?
Rates of new business startups comparison?
Rates of business failures per state?
Cost of a gallon of gas or milk comparison?
Bankruptcy rates comparison by state?
Foreclosure rate comparison?

As always Dragnet, you are set on selling a bankrupt state to people that live someplace where you are allowed to own a business and a gun. California used to be a great example to the country of growth and opportunity.

Now California is an example of what happens when the lunatics run the asylum. The sane folk leave. As company after company exits to Texas, they did the math.

In Texas we still have leadership and promise. It hasn’t been perfect, but it has been sane.
