Politics (as usual) is the art of the possible, but with God ALL things are possible!!
Aug 16, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/16/2012 12:24:18 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

I've been told that we must accept the liberal progressive abortion/homosexual pushing Republican Mitt Romney because we can do no better, that politics is the art of the possible.

Respectfully, I place my faith in God, not politics. With God ALL things are possible.

They say the man who for thirty or more years of his adult life advocated for abortion and homosexual rights and every other leftist cause that came down the pike is suddenly pro-life (and, according to Romney's recent lies, he's ALWAYS been pro-life).

Well, if Romney is serious about the fight for life, he should be forceful about it and immediately lay out his plans to overturn Roe v Wade and whatever other unconstitutional judicial rulings stand in the way of outlawing abortion. He should lay out his plans of impeaching all leftist activist judges that are usurping the constitution. He should declare war on the usurping abortionist/homosexualist/communist statist left!! He should layout his plans for expelling all the corrupt leftist usurpers from the congress.

He should announce his intentions of forever defunding Planned Parenthood and any and all other political groups (left, right or in between) now unconstitutionally drawing taxpayer funds! He should declare war on the abortion industry!! He should declare war on the unconstitutional homosexual agenda!! He should forcefully defend the constitution and our God-given unalienable rights to life and liberty to the hilt!!

He should consult with Ryan who apparently gets it that our rights come from God. He should deputize Ryan to lead the war against the corrupt abortionist/homosexualist/unionist communist bastards that have clearly been fighting a war against us for at least the past 50 years or more!! An unanswered war!! Don’t look now but the godless leftist bastards are winning because we do not have leaders who fight!!

We the people are rising up to fight it without leaders. We are the tea party and we're fed up and mad as hell about politics as usual and we aren't going to take it anymore!

We are legion and we are in your face!!

We need to impeach all the leftist/activist black robed rulers and get them the hell out of government!!

To hell with Romney's hundreds of pages of political plans to tweak the economy. Tweaking does not get it done!! The federal government has no business controlling or tweaking the economy anyway.

Declare war against the leftist usurpers and their unconstitutional statist government they’ve created. Defund and dismantle the unconstitutional federal beast and release the pent up free economy. Set our people free to produce, to pursue happiness, prosperity, freedom and the Glory of God!!

This is not politics as usual. Paraphasing leftist James Carville, this is wahr!!

This is open rebellion AGAINST politics as usual!! Rove, Romney, et al, just don’t get it.

Long live the tea party rebellion of which Rove, Romney and the GOP-e sneers!!

I sincerely doubt that Romney’s up to the leadership task.

Romney is a wimp!! Status quo and the continued slide into the godless socialist abyss is the best he can possibly muster. And the worse he can do is telegraphed in his record. He’s been a godless leftist usurping bastard himself for his entire adult life and I doubt that will change.

Don't believe me? here it is straight from the leftist abortionist bastard's mouth:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OQoBxZZPqU&feature=player_embedded

He should declare war against the abortionist/homosexualist left and against the growing federal behemoth and against the illegal alien invasion, but he won't. He won't do any of the above. Why? Because he wants their vote and will pander to get it.

Well, he can try for the leftist, homosexualist, illegal alien vote if he wants, but he'll never get mine. And that's for sure.

Well said. What do churches, mosques, synagogues, temples and chapels all have in common? Lightning rods. The rain falls on the just and unjust, and there will be water if God wills it. Sometimes I don't know if I'm coming or going.

I know neither of the current candidates will get my vote.

It does make me sad though to see so many so afraid, they will not fight. Not only not fight, but call others names for taking on the fight.

"Voting third party risks an Obama win"

This one's too important for a gamble like that. Third parties have never been anything but problematic spoilers. Remember, that looney-tune Perot gave Slick Willie the presidency. ABO!!!!!!!!!

"We can survive another four years of Obama"

I've read stories about Jews in early 30's Germany who thought and said, "That Hitler fellow can't be all bad, he just says those things to make his base happy. We'll be fine...."

Knowing that a vote for anyone but Romney is a vote for Obama, I am voting my conscience.

May I submit a hypothesis?

It is this: Every election since 1980 has been about the Republicans.

Come 1992, GHWB failed -- chiefly because he reneged on "No new taxes, read my lips." The Republican incumbent did a very unRepublican thing...and he got whacked.

In 1994, thanks chiefly to Newt, Republicans promised to do some very Republican (i.e., conservative) things. And they won a re-sounding victory.

In 1996, after the GOP Congress had caved in a face-off, they ran a placeholder against a beatable incumbent. They lost.

Shimmer dissolve to 2006. The Democrats didn't win majorities in Congress, Republicans lost them -- because they weren't passing Republican (conservative) legislation. 2008 was a repeat of 1996.

It boils down to this: If a Republican president and a Republican Congress do Republican (conservative) things, they can be re-elected for perpetuity.

Very good list.

I really believe the communist goals of taking over one or both political parties has been achieved. And it's both.

I used to think that the left supporting gay marriage was just a difference of opinion, now however, they are outright attacking Christians for their views. Romney has not stood up against this. Heck, even Obama came out for traditional marriage in 08.

I see a lot of posts about religion of FR, and I am not a very religious person. But this is very scary stuff.

Conservatives tipped their hand before the primaries going along with the ABO mantra. ABO? of course not! Talk about showing your hand. The R's ran with it and crammed Romney down everyone throat.

I really don't believe for the GOP this is about winning. I truly don't.

Question: What would the GOP have to do to make you vote for another party? I guess McCain calling TP people trolls isn't enough. Or Boehner calling us knuckle draggers. Maybe it's Romney afraid to support Christian beliefs?

This is enough for me. I would like to know others thresh hold

Actually, McCain called us "assholes". His "personal assistant", Lindsay Graham, called us "bigots". And, yes, John Boehner has indeed called us "knuckle-draggers".

To me, the best solution is to displace the so-called establishment. We have the power to do so. All it takes is volunteering to be precinct captain, committeeman, etc....and working your way up. At some point, the TP displaces the establishment...and there isn't a damn thing they can do about it.

We just have to make up our minds to do it. And, near as I can tell, the process is already in motion.

It will take hard work and patience -- the latter apparently something that is in short supply among conservatives.

But that's exactly how the radicals took over the Democrat party. In 1968, they were in Grant Park, rioting. By 1972, they were in the hall, taking charge. By 1976, they were in complete command.

In the meantime, the GOP establishment is essentially useless -- but they aren't anti-American or anti-capitalist.

A third party is -- and will continue to be -- the dumbest political idea imaginable.

Remember, that looney-tune Perot gave Slick Willie the presidency.

Yes, I do remember, and was madder than hell at the Perot voters at the time. In retrospect, I see that:

1. Third party votes did NOT favor the incumbent, as some Obama-phobic hysterics claim.

2. Clinton won with a full 57% of the vote opposing him, and two years later he got his ass kicked by the Republican Revolution, which did a lot of good for this nation.

3. Had HW Bush been re-elected on a majority, the Republican Revolution would probably never have materialized. Had he been re-elected on a plurality, maybe.

4. Clinton was re-elected on a plurality of 51% of the popular vote against him, and was impeached before his term ended. Most Americans voted in opposition to him both times. Had most Americans voted for him one or either time, the GOP wouldn't have kept the upper hand as much as they did.

Risking a plurality Obama win OR risking a plurality Romney win is a better risk than handing Romney a mandate. Pray for a plurality, and vote for a plurality.

Remember: you reap what you sow.

Keep whipping up that hysteria thing you got going. Beat it to a froth.

I've read stories about Jews in early 30's Germany who thought and said, "That Hitler fellow can't be all bad, he just says those things to make his base happy. We'll be fine...."

What Obama says is only what he says, and in case you haven't been keeping up with current events, Obama is doing bad everywhere. Millions are turning away, and a lot of them will feel perfectly comfortable voting for a progressive "Republican" like Romney.

What Republicans in Congress DO is the lever, and fighting a skinny fraud like Obama, elected on a pissy plurality, would be meat to a terrier.

What Romney says is only what he says, but Republican in Congress are going to play ball -- and Romney plays hardball -- with Romney, the head of the party possibly elected in a popular landslide. That it was an ABO vote would be totally swept under the rug. You would watch slack-jawed as Romney methodically and oh-so-reasonably and sweetly advanced every single liberal agenda on the Republican watch, claiming a popular mandate, while the MSM cheered them on.

You are risking a mandate for that? Not me. I'm voting for a plurality.

For the love of God, look at the man's RECORD.

See my tagline.

Knowing that a vote for anyone but Romney is a vote for Obama...

... is the same as knowing that the Tooth Fairy brings you a dollar for every lost tooth.

There's only one way to vote for either of them, and that's to mark one of their names on your ballot. Either way, you're voting for liberal progressivism and more government.

There's also a way to make your vote work to weaken whichever liberal wins, and that's to vote for a plurality, making it count against the percentages of both Obama and Romney. A third party vote is a vote for a plurality. USE your vote!!!

God helps those that help themselves.

Romney is the candidate because conservatives failed to present a viable alternative. People are free to chose who they will vote for, but a second term of Obama, no longer concerned with reelection, would be a terrible thing.

If Romney can be pressured, cajoled, or threatened to replace Ginsburg with a conservative justice, it will be enough to override everything he did in the past. But if fat almost 80 year old Scalia suffers a stroke, and Obama replaces him with his favorite ACLU lawyer, it is basically over.

Nobody I know voted for Romney in the primary (well one Mormon coworker) but nobody is seating this one out either.

Yeah, that’s the problem, we Conservatives are not patient enough. LOL

In the meantime, the GOP establishment is essentially useless — but they aren’t anti-American or anti-capitalist.

I really beg to differ. Like I said before, I am not particulary religious, but this is really scary stuff that is being doled out.

Again my question What does the GOP need to do to make you not support them?

I may have missed all the ah and troll allegations.

I certainly heard McCain call us hobbits. Really dude? The irony is rich. In the Lord of the Rings..the Hobbits were the force.

You are absolutely correct. Patience seems to be an issue.

But...things are happening far faster than I thought they would.

Again, you are correct..volunteer to make a difference.
