Suspect in shooting allegedly said, 'I don't like your politics'

Officials have filed charges against Floyd Lee Corkins II for allegedly shooting a security guard in the arm at the Family Research Councils (FRC) building in Washington, D.C.
Prosecutors with the Department of Justice charged Corkins, who is from Herndon, Va., with illegally transporting a firearm and ammunition across state lines and assaulting the guard with the intent to kill him while armed.
Corkins, 28, is expected to make an appearance in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Thursday.
In an affidavit filed with the court, a witness described the suspect as walking into the FRCs building, where he told security guard Leo Johnson something to the effect of, I dont like your politics.
The FRC was labeled as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center in 2010, after members of the conservative Christian group argued that gay people are more prone to being pedophiles and that sexual assaults by gay people on straight soldiers serving in the military would increase after the repeal of the "Dont ask, dont tell" law.
Corkins allegedly reached into his backpack, pulled out a 9 mm handgun and began shooting at Johnson, according to the affidavit. After being shot, Johnson wrestled the gun away from Corkins and subdued him, according to court documents.
After taking Corkins into custody, the FBI says it found a box of 50 bullets in his backpack, along with 15 sandwiches from the Chick-fil-A fast-food chain.
The special agent who detailed his account of the incident in the affidavit filed with the court made reference to recent comments that the head of Chick-fil-A made in opposition to gay marriage and connected them with the FRCs same position on the matter.
Corkins parents informed the FBI special agents that Corkins has strong opinions with respect to those he believes do not treat homosexuals in a fair manner, the affidavit states.
Democrat Floyd Lee Corkins II (D-District of Columbia) is apparently taking marching orders from the Obama Campaign. Most Leftists are poorly educated and easily led. Not surprised that Obama and the Democrats are using Code Words to turn their mind-numbed followers into Rampaging Murderers.
The guy is on meds....who would carry around 15 chick-fil-a sandwiches in his bag? He probably watches a dozen hours of MSNBC each day.
>> He probably watches a dozen hours of MSNBC each day.
Clearly a thug.
Contrary to popular slander, Conservatives use the figurative pen to win battles. No sense wasting ammo.
Yeah, I noticed that part too. Part of some twisted plan? Force someone to chocke down a bunch of those at gunpoint? ("Choke on THAT, you bastards.."?)
No....that would be when a Christian chokes a Queer!
Just a guess, but Im thinking that libtard nutjob may have intended on leaving those sandwches behind with his victims, similar to death cards used during the Vietnam War.
Someone trying to gain access to FRC offices by pretending to be an intern on a lunch run.
The article makes heavy use of the word alleged.
We do know, though, that this is the type of voter Romney values so highly he actually went after them in the VA primary even though he was the only guy his Mittbot team at the top let on the ballot!
One well known poster says FRC actually spent the last 5 years campaigning among Evangelical churches trying to convince them to back Mitt ~
Which leads just about anyone to draw some startling conclusions ~ that maybe FRC isn't exactly what they want us to believe, so they'd best start confessing.
***the FBI says it found a box of 50 bullets in his backpack, along with 15 sandwiches from the Chick-fil-A fast-food chain. ***
Sounds like he planned to hole up and take hostages. Why not get something good to eat during the standoff.
“isolated incident”
“actions not related to his ideology”
The MSM will bury this story.
“After taking Corkins into custody, the FBI says it found a box of 50 bullets in his backpack, along with 15 sandwiches from the Chick-fil-A fast-food chain.”
Sounds like he was planning on serving lunch, and then having a massacre. Imagine if the security guard had been renedered unconscious or dead.
“Suspect in (FRC) shooting allegedly said, ‘I don’t like your politics’.”
Obviously this young man is a good and loyal Democrat.
