Don’t mean to be ‘picky’ but the above mentioned Kerrey (Bob) from NE, although a Lib, he did serve very honorably in VN (Medal of Honor, lost portion of leg) and was a SEAL and I could possibly considered voting for him in a National Election - if the opponent was like some of these clowns ‘they’ have been shoving down our throat, of course the Libs would never (at least in this day and age) give Bob Kerrey, Sam Nunn, Zell Miller and their ilk a shot at it.
If one of the above 3 were to have challenged W - instead of JF’nK, I would have seriously thought of voting that way.
Kind of like ‘us’ putting up B Dole to run against Clintoon, no way a Lib would vote for him, not because he was Conservative (HA) but because he wasn’t a D and no where near an answer to the ‘problem’.
At least the R hierarchy has absolutely NO PROBLEM in giving the D’s the opportunity to vote R with a candidate that meets a lot of their expectations.
Obama deserves this.

Ok...in Feb 69 he was involved in a raid where some civilians were offed and he was ‘accused’ of having a hand in killing a civilian. He got a BZ star for this action (the raid) and later denied the hand in killings. The charges were leveled at him around 2001 from the then most experienced member of his team.
I believe Kerrey was running for the “D” nomination at the time, so the circumstances for the ‘outing’ may have been similar to the Kerry ‘outing’.
The MOH was for action Mar 69 involving scaling a cliff, being wounded and ‘staying in command’....
Lying John Frickin’ Kerry never did release his military record to the public.
Not only did he meet with them, he coordinated his anti-war propaganda efforts with them in order to achieve the greatest political impact for the North Vietnamese. There is only one word to describe it - treason.

Kerry earned the treatment he got from his fellow service members, and then some.
I never saw this obamas video where Michelle says, rather clearly, “all this for a damn flag.”.

Obama should be swiftboated, but the problem is that he has been ‘Slowboated.” Swift would be much better.

Further, as recalled, the service for which he was decorated was, appearently, self-nominated or, at least, self-authored.
