AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

when's the last time you heard ANYTHING from Franken?
That's my point. We HEAR plenty from Rush ... meanwhile ... Franken is in the Senate VOTING his left wing ideology.

I heard the exact quote about "legitimate rape". I think some most of YOU pin heads got it wrong.

IOW, CLAIMING rape AFTER consensual sex is NOT a "legitimate rape"...Get it pinheads?

Yeah, I GET IT, pinhead! I immediately understood what Akin "meant" by that statement. Good luck trying to sell that clunky comment to the MSM.

However... what about the rest of Akin's bizarre "shut down" statement?

"... If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down. But let’s assume that maybe that didn’t work or something..."

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot??

We’ve definitely got to clear up sexual matters in this country. When is an accusation of rape real and when is it fabricated, a la Duke La Crosse?

Ushering Akin from the race is complicated by the fact that he has never been a candidate beholden to the party establishment. Since being elected to Congress in 2000, Akin has relied on a grassroots network of supporters. His Senate campaign is being run by his son.

I heard yesterday that Sen. Cornyn, Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, told Akin he would receive "no money" from the NRSC. Cornyn advised Akin he should step down as of 5pm tonight.

Will be interesting to see what Akin does...

The reason Rush says that both President and First Lady Obamas dislike Mitt Romney is that they are JEALOUS of him not only because he is CLEAN CUT and he turned many failing businesses and events around, including one Salt Lake City winter olympics/IOC movement.

Hey, there’s some guy hosting the Limbaugh show today doing a pretty good Urbanski imitation!

Love ya and glad you’re back for the duration. Urbanski had 2 good days filling in and three things I was happy not to hear.

1. He didn’t make a point and repeat it multiple times.
2. He had NO infomercials.
3. Not one word about two if by tea.

Also Rush is playing “catch-up” after a few days off.

I liked Rush's subs this time, especially Doug Urbanski. Mark Belling was interesting as well, giving us his perspective from Wisconsin just after Paul Ryan was chosen as VP candidate.

Maybe we've been so used to being tortured over the years by the awful, whiny-voiced sub Mark Davis, that we're grateful when any sub other than Davis fills in for Rush? lol

I'll take a guess at it. When a woman is trying to get pregnant sometimes she is so nervous about getting pregnant, she can't. Couples adopt, she quits thinking about it, no tension, she gets pregnant. Akin’s comments were so stupid, I really have no idea his intent.

Yup... I had to hear those comments about 3x before I could even believe what I was hearing.

I agree with the current caller: Will Todd Akin put himself and his interests before his country - where we risk 300+ million people in this country being saddled with ObamaCare - because Akin lost to McCaskell? Or will Akin do the right thing, and step down as of 5pm today?

I too, am SICK of seeing the gutless, spineless pubbies throw each other under a lib-dem bus, because someone says something stupid. Akin: correct it/clarify it, apologize and move on to beating that witch in Nov. Screw the whining RINO wimps!

No more circular firing squads, dammit! Kick the lib-dems’ azzes! THAT’s what counts. Don’t lose sight of the goal.
