LINCOLN, Neb.—Police say a former University of Nebraska women's basketball star faked an attack in which she allegedly carved anti-gay slurs into her skin because she felt it would spark change. Lincoln Police Chief Jim Peschong said Tuesday that 33-year-old Charlie Rogers outlined her motive for the faked July 22 attack in Facebook postings four days earlier.
Peschong says Rogers wrote:
"So maybe I'm too idealistic but I believe way deep inside me that we can make things better for everyone. I will be a catalyst. I will do what it takes. I will. Watch me."
Rogers, a lesbian, told police three masked men attacked her in her home and carved anti-gay slurs in her skin.
Rogers was charged Tuesday with making a false police report.

She should receive the same punishment her phantom attackers would have received, had they been real.

I know you meant "pro-homo legislation," and I agree with you. It happened to us here in Ft. Worth in 2009. Police, with TABC agents, conducted a legitimate bar check at a "gay" bar and were confronted by angry homos who were indignant that they were being "raided" on their high-holy day of "gay liberation." Several drunk bar patrons were arrested, a few for assault on the police, and the stage was set for screams of "police brutality" and "hate crimes." The city literally bent over for them in the legal fallout.

Gee whiz, I certainly NEVER saw that coming!!! I’m truly shocked that it was a fake story. And I so believed this unfortunate woman was telling the truth. I mean, who wouldn’t believe her cockamamie er I mean sad story...just because virtually every so-called hate crime like hers had also been proven to be a hoax. (snicker)
