LINCOLN, Neb.Police say a former University of Nebraska women's basketball star faked an attack in which she allegedly carved anti-gay slurs into her skin because she felt it would spark change. Lincoln Police Chief Jim Peschong said Tuesday that 33-year-old Charlie Rogers outlined her motive for the faked July 22 attack in Facebook postings four days earlier.
Peschong says Rogers wrote:
"So maybe I'm too idealistic but I believe way deep inside me that we can make things better for everyone. I will be a catalyst. I will do what it takes. I will. Watch me."
Rogers, a lesbian, told police three masked men attacked her in her home and carved anti-gay slurs in her skin.
Rogers was charged Tuesday with making a false police report.

Thanks scottjewell.
I agree:
It was indeed a hate crime. She was trying to frame 3 heterosexual males. Supposing 3 men had been detained - she would likely have identified them.
And she was trying to make the heterosexual community look criminal.
That which is foolish may also be evil.
I think it’s at least the fourth well publicized gay hate crime hoax just this year.
The college lesbian who was putting hate notes under her own dorm room door.
The two lesbians who spray painted the outside of their own house.
The gay guy who said he got “gay bashed” outside of a bar, but it turned out he injured himself doing backflips on the sidewalk.
Plus this one makes four, that I’ve heard about. I have to assume the hoaxes are much more common than the actual hate crimes, because every well publicized anti-gay “hate crime” turns out to be a hoax.
I think you’d have to go back to Matthew Shepard to find a nationally publicized anti-gay “hate crime” that wasn’t a self-inflicted hoax. Even in that case, I don’t think there was any real evidence offered that bias or bigotry motivated the crime.
Yes—it is classed a misdemeanor and that is not going to end it. :(
Wow! I didn't remember those others. These people are loonies! It gives the straight gays a bad name!
Wait...?
No, because two-dollar bills are legitimate currency in the United States. I'm guessing you meant "three-dollar bill?"
To liberals there is NOTHING they will not do to further their agenda.
I wonder how many gays are going to denounce her. I’ll bet the silence is deafening.
It’s already deafening. And maddening...
Whoops. I guess the phrase is 3 dollar, although I’ve never seen a $2 bill.
