Take your children out of public schools.
That's what James Dobson, founder of the conservative Christian organization Focus on the Family, told more than five million American listeners in a March 28 broadcast of his daily radio show.
"In the state of California ... I wouldn't put [a] youngster in a public school," Dobson bluntly stated. His words sparked a campaign that reveals the extent of parental discontent with public schools.
Why are they discontented? Some parents worry about the lack of religious or "moral" values; other parents point to low academic standards or bias against male students. (Dobson objected to "homosexual propaganda" that teaches, for example, that "bisexuality is normal.")
The common denominator is that parents wish to choose the values and standards by which their children are educated.
The campaign against public schools snowballed April 9 when the popular radio personality Dr. Laura Schlessinger declared, "I stand with Dr. James Dobson." Indeed, Dr. Laura did not restrict her comments to California. "Take your kids out of public schools," she advised. The same day, in his Christian talk show Point of View — broadcast over 360 American radio stations — Marlon Maddoux added his agreement.

The bias exists because for the last 25 years there has been a orxhestrated effort to get rid of men as good role models in schools.

Well, that is the result, when everyone is “empowered” and has “pride” about everything they want to do, then people have no shame.
We can’t, as a society, embrace sexual liberation, in our laws and culture, for adults, and not expect that to trickle down to our children. They learn from us, and if they see that we abandon standards of behavior for ourselves, then they see no reason to abide by them either. They’ll just think of us as hypocrites, and try to flaunt our rules whenever they get the chance. So, we’ll never get rid of prostitots until the mothers stop acting like prostitutes themselves.
With recent law changes in the State of Ohio ALL Parents of children who reside in Cleveland can request a voucher. ALL requests are granted for ANY accredited school, Public, Charter or Parochial within the city limits. If a student can be accepted to the school, the State of Ohio will pay up to $5,000 for ANY student regardless of means to the school of their parents choice. If the parents are lower income, the state will provide up to $10,000. to the school of choice. Once a child is given a voucher, they can get it renewed EVERY YEAR simply by requesting a renewal.
Most parochial grade schools are less than $4,000. per year. The average spent on a per pupil average in Cleveland Municipal Schools is OVER $15,000. The value of the education is significantly less, but the teachers all make $70k OR MORE and have great benefits and up to 90% of their top three years pay for a LIFETIME retirement income.

Perhaps.....with the Newsweek “Hit the Road” article, the MSM knows Obama is going to lose and that possibly a good 16 years of a Republican Presidency is looming forcing them to stop the bias and begin reporting the full spectrum.

The unfortunate dumbed down public school students can be your child’s employees, if they can tolerate a level of incompetance usually reserved for members of the DNC.”
I’ve been making that point also. Thanks to the public schools, we parents have a have an EASY WAY to get our kids into the top 1% (or at least 5%). All we have to do is educate them ourselves...and let most of the country keep using the public schools.
Who is it that purchases those clothes for the child? Who is it that allows the child to go out of the house dressed like that?
Thirty years ago my wife led a group of parents that demanded the school board adopt a dress code. Two months later the code was in place and several board members were put on notice about what the results would be of the next election.
Of course keep in mind that my wife felt it was important enough to actually get involved.
I hate paying public school taxes and private school tuition. Conversely, I’d be afraid to let vouchers with public money touch private schools because the strings attached could strangle the quality out of private schools.
perhaps the parents should demand a webcam in every classroom so they could log on at any time and see what the teacher is doing.

Now after reading about Prince Harry's latest and taking a poll, I see I am 1/3 in the minority of disapproving.
The only dance I remember at the prom is the fox trot and jitterbug. Actually my memories of the prom which everybody thinks should be happy weren't particularly. But at least boys in public were more restrained with girls in public back then.
I consider paying for public schools to be a “ransom” of sorts. I’ll pay it and keep my kids out of their clutches.
Even a tax credit, or simply not charging you the portion of the tax they use for public schools, could have strings attached -

Same here. I just look at it as another tax. Here in Texas we have low property values, but high tax rates. If I want to pay less for “the schools”, I can live in a smaller place. It’s no different than Social Security - you pay the tax, not for yourself, but for some old fart in some other part of the country that either didn’t pay in, or didn’t pay enough.
Bottom line, if you want to live in the USA, you pay these taxes...and try to work on them from the political side.
