President Barack Obama says convincing doubters that he is a Christian isn't part of his job description. Mitt Romney tells skeptics of his faith: "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of mankind" and pleads for tolerance.
The two White House contenders addressed the issue of persistent questioning of their religious beliefs as part of a wide-ranging exchange with Washington National Cathedral's Cathedral Age. The magazine asked Obama and Romney to weigh in on the role of faith in public life and politics as well as in their personal lives.
Public opinion polls have repeatedly found large numbers of Americans who say they think Obama, a practicing Christian, is secretly a Muslim. And some conservative Christian groups reject Romney's Mormon faith.
So "how do you respond" to those who "have questioned the sincerity of your faith and your Christianity?" the magazine asked.
"You know, there's not much I can do about it," Obama said.

But I CAN see whether his policies and positions support a Christian perspective:
*Christ tells us to give generously to those in need; but he doesn't say to take enviously from those who have abundance.
*Christ teaches that barbarian or Greek, male or female, free or slave, we are all the same in Him; Christ does not incite racial tension.
*Christ teaches to lift up the banner of Christ, and He will draw all men unto Him; Christ doesn't teach that we should glorify Islam or other false religions, and He doesn't teach many paths to God.
*Abortion is not a Christian value.
*Christians may not bear false witness to win political contests.
*Christians cannot give kickbacks and payoffs to their political supporters, nor can they engage in voter fraud.
I guess I would like to see a man stand for some Christian position, if I am to believe he is a deep and committed follower of Christ. As far as redistribution of wealth, its hard for me to see how a philosophy designed (by Marx) to replace Christianity (which Marx considered a great evil) can beheld up as Christian virtue, even though a lot of people today seem to conflate redistribution with Biblical charity.
Is nothing his job?
Crap, if you looked at it on paper, Obama is the highest profile "unemployed" person in this country. He hasn't worked a single day since February 2009.
You did everything you could during the election to prove you have no belief in anything that Christians would recognize as being Christian and did everything since then to offend us.
No, you are not a Christian....and I rarely make that call.
As if that were possible, anyway.
NOT!
"Now step aside or play through, I'm busy here".
Sorry barry. Those who know the truth know you ain’t.
It would appear he needs more practice.
Of course, so do I...
No one who is really a Christian, no matter what they call themselves, says “I’m a Christian but/and there are other/many ways to God/Salvation.”
No, if you’re a Christian, you reject any “other way” as bogus and anti-Christian.
From the way his regime has governed the last 3+ years, 0bama, the "Community Organizer", really doesn't know ANYTHING about what his job is, and is a CHRISTIAN for political purposes only!
Based on the evidence you present, Obama is not guilty.
We all know how you like to avoid hard work...
Everytime he blames Bush, he’s admitting that he’s not up to the presidency. “It’s not my job” and “it’s Bush’s fault”. This is a platform to campaign on? Is this really how low the bar’s been set for him?
Muslim ego, at that.
“Not my job to convince folks Im a Christian”
WTF!!!!...You stupid SOB... you took your oath of office on a BIBLE!!!!
Sounds a lot like his answer to "What superhero power would you most like to have?" I wonder which answer he believes in most?
Why isn’t he using the same burden of proof for Romney’s tax records. If it’s the accuser’s burden to prove Obama isn’t a christian then it is the accuser’s burden to prove Romney didn’t pay taxes.
I am tired of these Alinsky assaults from the left. Time to ram Alinsky down their throats for a change.
uhhh....Mr. President, the job of a Christian IS to go out into the world and “convince folks” that you ARE a Christian. Every day.
nobama commented fully some time back on all questions asked of him: “Can’t I just eat my waffle?” What a poseur loser.
