Speaking with a long-time Liberal friend of mine tonight, and though he has to tell why abortion under any circumstances is just a matter of the woman's choice, he also has to tell me that maybe the track that hurricane Issac is making is "God's telling us something", and he corrected it to "God's telling the Republicans something".
I can only say "disgusting" because my mouth should not speak all else I would say.

What will your friend say if Isaac (a very good OT name BTW!) avoided Tampa, loitered in the Gulf for a few days and then turned NE to arrive in Charlotte in about 10 days.

We Christian conservatives try hold ourselves to a higher standard and do our best to stay in God's will. Sure we mess up, but we hate it when we do and try to change our ways.
This is my concern. For the first time ever, republicans are about to nominate as head of the party, a man who is for abortion of innocent babies because their sperm donor was a criminal and for someone who thinks it's ok with gays adopting innocent children. In the primary he told us he was seriously conservative and 100% pro-life and that he would stand strong for traditional family values. Those of us who did not trust him were told we could hold his feet to the fire if he goes left. Well, the convention hasn't started and he is starting to come out of his liberal closet.
And how did he win the primary? Cheating in several states, getting help from the gop and friends in various states to fix states to Romney's advantage, lying to voters about who he is, buying endorsements and people off, cheating in several states and destroying and lying about his real conservative opponents in order to win the primary at all cost.
It appears the gop expects us to lower our standards and vote for this man. I don't blame the people who never wanted this man, but I do blame the gop, romney and the people who pushed him in the media and too many around here. Their are many who won't vote for him because they feel they would be sinning. They tell us that if Obama wins, the country will end. It's the same tactic your friend church uses to scare their people into voting for Obama-scare them. I fear God more than I fear any person. How do I tell God I had to vote for someone who is in a cult and believes he is a god and who I know is morally corrupt, because I was more afraid of Obama, then God Himself?
The GOP would be wise to rethink the 2 state solution between Israel and Palestine.

The NE Quadrant of a hurricane always has the highest average winds and the most water. That's what's scheduled (By somebody's god fur shur) to hit the convention.
I know the guys running the convention don't want to hear the bad news, but there it is. They should have consulted with people before signing on to a big event in Florida in August!
