Last night at approximately 7:30 p.m., Fox New's Carl Cameron was reporting on Mitt Romney's comments that "Nobody has asked to see my birth certificate".
Cameron stated "Romney said Barack Obama's birth certificate is authentic", when what Romney actually said was that he (Romney) believes Obama was born in Hawaii.
Cameron also stated: "Most people think President Obama's birth certificate is legitimate". While this statement may on the surface, be true, it is shameless disinformation. What does it matter what most people think on this issue? Most forensic experts who examine the document have stated there are some obvious flaws in the document that make it likely it was tampered with.
My question to fellow Freepers is this: why is Carl Cameron of Fox News assuming the role of Obama Administration propagandist? Does he feel the pressure from the Administration's FCC? This is blantant disinformation, and it is coming from Fair and Balanced Fox News! Why won't Fox News report the truth on this issue?
Yes, I guess you are right. He either does what his boss tells him to do and gets big bucks, or goes back to whence he came and teaches high school English and manages the yearbook. Easy choice. Feed the people b.s.; they’ll not know the difference.
FOX News reporters follow the GOP talking points. They put the spin on the news that the GOP tells them to in the smoky back rooms. That’s why FOX zealously backed Mitt Romney in the primary and banned Gingrich from ever appearing again on the channel, just as Gingrich is not being allowed to speak at the convention. The GOP is not interested in questioning Obama’s birth certificate so FOX naturally isn’t interested.
Pretty sure Rupert tweeted a while back that he believed Obama would win the election against Romney. So the donations are his tribute to the regime.
Not sure, but I think Ailes probably wants Obama to be reelected. Their ratings have only gone up in the last 4 years I think. So the economy's doing good from where they sit.

O'Reilly doesn't claim to be a conservative or a liberal. He says he has some conservative positions but also mentions his liberal positions like anti-death penalty, pro-global warming, etc. O'Reilly is at least always honest about his positions so you know where he stands and doesn't try to "color" the news while claiming to be unbiased.
I think this makes his show a better news show and a better debate show than the competition. He can referee a debate because he isn't always clearly on one side. Hannity can't because Hannity will always join in on assaulting the liberal debater.
And I think news is better received from a person who clearly states what their bias is upfront, rather than one of these news shows where they try to talk in a generic "reporter's voice" and pretend that they're objective, when for all practical purposes no one can ever be objective. It just feels so weird watching the typical anchorman try to talk in a steady, monotone, robotic voice. I'd much rather see them being themselves, showing emotion and being honest about their take on the news.
O'Reilly is about the closest anyone comes to that, and it's the only "news" show I can stomach watching. Even though it's billed as an analysis show, he does tend to cover the "top stories" of the day, and it's not all just political stuff like Hannity. Greta is too reticent with her opinions, and the only ones she seems to talk about are ones she thinks are non-controversial enough to put out there.
Oh, I know, it just seems recently there has been an over abundance of criticism. I'll take them any day over the rest. At least they give the conservatives a voice which certainly has not been true anywhere else. All in all I still think they try to live up to their motto of being "fair and balanced" .

go work for NPR so I don’t have to see/hear them.
I sill remember 1992 when I had to get news from short wave radio stations because there were stories the MSM would not cover. This was before the internet and FN. Felt like news wise I was living behind the iron curtain.
Hope we don’ t get like that again.
How did anyone in the world get the idea that BO was born in Kenya if he didn’t say so and tell people he was. It didn’t just come out of the blue.

Obviously he made these statements because he did not know at that time that a president must be a “natural born” citizen.. OOOPS!

Like I always say. The idea that he was born in Kenya had to come from BO himself. Why would anyone else just assume he was born there unless he told that for years during his youth and college years.
That needs to be played at the convention and sent to every congressman in the US. They need to be held accountable for this fraud. He’s lying now or he’s lying then. Either way he belongs in jail.
