Agreed. The other day I thought this Texas judge was a loon, but now that the UN denies this, they are lending some credence to his suspicions.

They wouldn’t last longer than an ant fart, going up against a full company of Texas Rangers.

He later added: "No one, not even the United Nations, would ever mess with Texas."

Not for more than a few minutes anyway.

Methinks people do fall for conspiracy-theory level thinking too much.

....U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s spokesman, Martin Nesirky, when asked if the United Nations had any plans to invade Texas added: “No one, not even the United Nations, would ever mess with Texas.”

Damn Straight!

The UN should pick another spot to attack. The vast majority in W TX have multiple guns, loaded and ready to protect themselves and their property from the onslaught of illegal criminals infesting that part of the state.

Personally I’m relieved. If the UN ever managed to secure west Texas they would have half of America’s lizards under their control.

Me thinks they doth protest too much

"It's absolutely ridiculous," said U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's spokesman, Martin Nesirky, when asked if the United Nations had any plans to invade Texas.

He later added: "No one, not even the United Nations, would ever mess with Texas."

Methinks you didn't closely read the article.

It would be a great opportunity to pick up some war spoils. I wouldn't mind having one of them Unimog trucks.

It is a thought. The UN has organized forces to intervene in other revolutions. Look at the Middle East.
