conservative documentary 2016: Obamas America stole the show from Sly Stallones bad-ass geezers and three opening films at the weekend box office, on its way to an estimated $6.2 million total for the three days.
The $5,940 per-screen average posted by "2016: Obama's America" was easily the best among films playing widely. "Expendables 2" stayed on top in its second week with $13.2 million averaging $3,950 from 3,355 theaters.
The documentary purports to tell what things will be like should the president be re-elected. Distributor Rocky Mountain Pictures expanded it into 1,091 theaters (from 169 last week) just in time to cash in on the buzz surrounding the Republican National Convention.

Great movie. Fact based. No bashing. Very informative.
It served to focus my understanding of Obama and provided a clear and compelling picture of the strategy behind his anti-American governance.
HA HA HA. I hope the libs are thoroughly ‘enjoying’ this! Something tells me, this is just only the beginning. Gotta luv it.
saw it, great protrayal of a man who never took American History or Civics so he thinks he is beyond the law we all live by.
Retribution is at hand.
LOL! Not one bit of ‘right wing’ anything in that movie. Progressive, socialist, communist, fascist and Marxist but right wing? Nope!
Saw it today with the wife. She was visibly shaken by what she saw.
Everyone needs to see this film.
It was a great movie, saw it last night, what surprised me the most was how non-partisan the movie really was, just a great fact based documentary. It doesn’t push the viewer to hate or love Obama, it just lays out in undeniable fashion the influences on him that lead to his ideologies. After watching it I am in shock as to how the American people let somebody like him get in office.
The media devoted more resources to investigating Joe the plumber's trade license and the DNA of Palin's Down Syndrome child than they did to the sordid history of Baraq Obama.
Wow.
Watched it today and it is an amazing movie. He puts the story together very well. His brother George is a shining star.
Pray for America
I am so glad this came out before BO’s Hollywood-fellating movie that is coming out just before the election.
The numbers are high for this movie honestly. Watch for inflated numbers for BOs movie as libs will buy their tickets by the dozens online and not even go. I bet the theaters after the initial release will be empty. Everyone already knows what an empty suit looks like and acts like, no one needs to waste two hours of their time for that crap.
The Los Angeles Times (reliable supporter of BO) today (8/26/2012) claims the movie is doing well because it is a “slow weekend.”
Watched it today. Room was packed! Might go see it again some time !
What’s the name of this painting and who is the artist?
Thanks.
They're probably puking into their buttery buckets as they feel the shadows descending on their perky teleprompter prince.
I was surprised how neutral dszouza was.
Left click on the image.
Wow. What a pic.
I saw it yesterdayv. As a rabid anti Obama zealot nothing new but my dad was shaken to the core.
Everyone needs to see this film.
Well, I haven't seen a movie in a theater since the original Jaws, but may go see this one. What was the sound volume like? I cannot stand loud noise. I wore earplugs to most movies and concerts we went to back in our dating years.
Thought the style looked familiar...his ‘Forgotten Man’ has been posted here before.
That old Rooster in the lower right corner will not be safe if we get 4 more years of the zer0.
Yes, the Forgotten Man is the guy with the hacksaw in this portrait.
I hope it comes around here. I checked the local theaters and nothing so far. I’ll drive to the next state if necessary.
Bump
Thanks for pointing that out... :-)
I saw it on Saturday. Ranked 8th for the weekend. No more comments.
Thanks....he says as he mumbles “Duh” under his breath.
That implies that she's been filtering out everything you've told her about that Bozo for five years.
It also means she trusts Dinesh D'Souza, whom she doesn't know, more than she does you. Hope that doesn't cut too close .... but I remark on it as something that seems to be "going around" a lot, as people who've ignored Rush, Hannity, Savage -- hell, ignored anyone with a brain -- finally begin to hear the penny drop when they can see the argument organized on a silver screen.
"Leni Riefenstahl, please call your office, Miss Riefenstahl please." <click> </off voice>
Shelby Steeles statement was so potent. how does a man two years from IL state senate become prez!
If this is an anti-Obama movie, then Obama, from Dreams from My Father, wrote a good part of it (or Bill Ayers).
1. Shelby Steele statement.
2. The visual of the squalor in Indonesia amd Kenya.
3. Obama in his own words via dreams from his father amd the reality of what his father advocated.
Andy Jackson and Teddy Roosevelt would just shoot him and let God sort it out.
That's Slick Willie over there with that bunch on the right, applauding, isn't it? Figures. Him and FDR.
Happens to me all the time. :)
George was great! wish that his half brother had half the sense that he does. Even if it turns out that George is a shyster, at least he is many times more the capitalist than his relative occupying our most valuable residence.
"Obama = Forerunner of The Beast"
the artist is a FReeper and "i think" but am not sure his screen name is Forgotten Man
And Bush II.
You will need those earplugs. The music is a bit tribal and very loud.
” the artist is a FReeper”
Dissolving any possible doubt that my financial contribution to FR is an investment and an inclusion in a community that would otherwise be impossible!
Great movie! Take someone with you to see it.
The movie-maker is able to explain the influences of President Obama and how an Anti-Colonialism theology guides his action across the world stage.
I have to admit that Obama’s apparent hatred of America and the American way has been baffling to me. I can't say that I agree with all of Dinesh D’Souza’s conclusions, but he is probably closer to the mark than anyone else. I am very glad that the movie is doing so well. I am curious how much of the information in the book is included in the movie and if the movie has info not included in the book. Hopefully, I will be able to watch it in the next few days.
We saw it this afternoon.
There may have been 4 or 5 empty seats. Place was packed. Applause at the end.
Well worth seeing.
Pretty neat! He does great work!
Ping! Watch this movie somewhere! FUBO!!!
