Roy Blunt also said this morning that he still thinks Akin will quit,

He sure as hell isn't going to quit if he sees this poll. I wouldn't either.

32.7 percent Democrats, 34.1 percent Republicans and 33.2 percent independents.

At least they are fair with their percentages.

It will be interesting to see if this poll is truly accurate. If Akin remains ahead, what will the GOP do to help him? To do nothing is to play into Sandra Fluke’s and the DNC’s (Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz’s?)lies.

Maybe the best thing would be to rely on surrogate organizations and PACS to aid in this campaign?

I think Mike Huckabee, who promoted Todd, on Fox News should donate at least $10 million of his own money to him. He wouldn’t even miss it. Akin isn’t going to back out so put up or shut up Huck. Otherwise, you’re just full of hot air and could care less if McCaskill won. Bty, my gut feeling is that Akin can still win with a little help from conservative Missouri voters and a landslide victory for Romney that lets Akin ride his long coat tails.

This election boils down to one thing; "Anybody but McCaskill."

LearJet Claire is tied at the hip to Ubama, and she's going down with him.

If these numbers hold, an awful lot of people are going to be dining on this.

And ANYONE who believes this poll . . . wanna buy a bridge? Akin is getting creamed. This polls is absurdly slanted. Akin needs to get out now.

Well STICK AROUND!!!!! Republicans are SURE to destroy Akin before election day! It’s what they DO, after all.

Look at Tokyo Rove in 2010, doing everything in his power to make certain Republican novices would be defeated by their Marxist opponents!!

The RNC has an out. The Chairman said no money for Akin even if they were tied in the polls. That says he could change his mind if Akin leads.

But the RNC will commission their own poll before doing something like that.

I am agnostic. Misery must really hate Claire.

I believe this poll, he has kept his mouth shut, now the big test is if Akin can keep his mouth and “wisdom” shut about rape and abortion, and keep on message about McCaskill.

May be true but the source of the poll is suspect for bias.

I hope Wenzel Strategies is right here but if I were a democrat being polled I would say anything that helps keep him in the race.

I looked up Wenzel Strategies and saw where they claimed 20% of GOP voters would vote for zerobama. That doesn’t seem quite right.

Consider the source.

FRC wants crazy Akin and got the result it wanted in a poll it paid for.

Huckabee may be framing this as a “Mount Carmel moment” now, but if the polls still look awful for Akin in two weeks, he’s going to get nervous about being held responsible for almost singlehandedly propping this guy up on the way to defeat.

That’d be a major black mark on his record ahead of 2016, and he’s already got enough of those (the latest being his endorsement of Dewhurst over Cruz).

So Huckabee wants Romney to fail and Obama reelected so he can run in 2016? That explains his support for Akin.

Christian Socialist Huckabee, whose inept judgement freed men to commit multiple murders and rape-murder within days and months of release, should be no where near the White House.
