Clint Eastwood To Speak At Republican Convention on Thursday: Fox News
deadline.com ^ | 8/29/12

Clint Eastwood will be speaking at the Republican Convention in Tampa on Thursday according to Fox News. The network’s website is reporting that a GOP source confirmed “that Eastwood is indeed the mystery speaker”. Thursday night’s line-up has a “To Be Announced” speaker scheduled ahead of Senator Marco Rubio and GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney himself. Eastwood’s name was floated earlier this week as the speaker along with former VP nominee Sarah Palin, Donald Trump and even a hologram of former President Ronald Reagan. No stranger to politics, Eastwood served as the Mayor of Carmel, California from 1986 to 1988. He supported John McCain in 2008 and endorsed Mitt Romney earlier this month at a Sun Valley fundraiser. “Now more than ever do we need Mitt Romney, I’m going to be voting for him,” the Oscar winner said as the GOP nominee stood next to him on August 4. If Eastwood is really heading to Tampa to speak Thursday evening, he’s going to have to get going soon. Deadline has learned that as of Wednesday afternoon, the actor/director was still at his home in Carmel. Eastwood’s latest film, Trouble With The Curve comes out on September 21, 2012.

Why Arizona? Because it was a buyer’s market. You’d be surprised at the large number of Canadians who’ve bought houses there too. I live in ND and I know quite a few people who also purchased second homes there. They bought because it was a hell of a deal and people long to escape the winter cold. Only time will tell but I’ll bet that the Palins were thinking along those same lines. Politics had nothing to do with it.

The RNC would knock this one out of the park if they had Clint Eastwood introduce Sarah Palin.

Game, Set and Match.

“The attacks on Gov. Palin were directed by Mitt Romney.”

The same people who borked Palin are trying to do the same to Romney; they are the American left, and have disdain for both of them and what they represent.

“Lastly, she is still young. She has plenty of time to grow into actual formidability.”

That’s a good point that is often overlooked (even by me sometimes); she already has the experience of the governorship of Alaska, and she may still go for other office (senator or representative) if she chooses before making another run for the White House. Without a doubt she is the voice for a lot of people in this country; I hope she’ll return to office in some form or other.

I missed some parts of the Eastwood speech. MSNBC gang complained that Eastwood made the imaginary Obama on the stage use the F-word "I KNOW he does not use that word...." I don't think Eastwood said that word, but rather "I can't do that to myself." I thought that Eastwood described what the imaginary Obama was thinking.

GOP characters seem to be trying to play it safe, saying what Eastwood said doesn't matter (but probably laughing their ***es off when not on camera).

“But they didn’t affect her ability to impact the down ticket races.”

Absolutely; she is now having an impact without facing the desperate wrath of the Dem media. They’ve simply made a mockery of her through smart use of the media.

I know what you’re thinking. “Did he fire six shots or only five?” Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: “Do I feel lucky?” Well, do ya, punk?

Detective Harry Callahan...

I agree. I think it was a mistake. Distracts from Rubio/Romney speeches and more mockery towards conservatives.

Don’t overlook the “psychology” behind what Eastwood did.
What he did was a good example of Gestalt psychotherapy.
These liberals are going to need this type therapy so be able to “break” away from obama. This “imagery” will play over and over in their brains and free them from the “chains” of obama.

... it’s called “Gestalt psychology” used with a lot of “imagery” and it’s a crafty way to get into the psyche of previous obama voters — all of “them” need to have a conversation with an empty chair and tell “that” chair why they can’t vote for “it” again. Good “shrinks” use this technique with quilt ridden patients frequently.

You are one poster who seems to have the correct perspective on things. Other are coming from what bothers them inside - and come from that perspective. And they have no idea what they will do next week, but they have no problem w/speaking what Sarah will be doing and her finances being dried up.

As far as Sarah is concerned, her steps are ordered of The Lord and that goes over the head of many here. Their own words condemn 'them' and they are clueless about that, also. They learned nothing in the past 4 years and clearly God was exposing things during that time and so few 'caught it' because their eyes weren't on The Lord.

This wasn't about Sarah but how God used her as HIS servant. They are responsible for what He was showing but they remained unteachable, more into condemning instead of learning. That classroom has been shut down so they are hell bent to fail. When HE was teaching, they had no interest in learning. They looked at a person and not on God and what HE was teaching/showing/exposing - through His servant.

Bottom line, in the end Sarah and family will be walking on streets of gold. Finances dried up - pffft!!

Clint Eastwood stood for office at the local level, in the community where he lives, in order to lift the regulations stifling businesses and householders.

Eastwood was hilarious. I had one outburst after another.
Wondered if the neighbors could hear me.
Couldn’t wait to see the re-runs.
Had a second go round of outbursts.
Don’t understand those who didn’t think Eastwood was funny!
So he’s old - - so???

Who doesn’t delight in Odumpo being mocked??!!!

Paraphrasing Eastwood:

‘In Hollywood, Conservatives don’t go around Hot Doggin’ it!’

- - - something about the ridiculousness of trying terrorists in downtown New York. . .

‘Biden is the intellect of the Democrat Party!’

‘Don’t want (or believe in - - ?) attorneys as politicians - - how about a stellar business man!’

And this one:
‘We own this country. Politicians are employees of ours.’ Fabulous!

Lastly, ‘When somebody does not do the job, we gotta let him go!’

Yep, took some notes - - - !

Let ‘them’ make fun - who cares???
