McCaskill has her lips attached to Obama's rear end!

Which most liberals wouldn't have a problem with.

You forget that McCasket’s negatives are that high in Missouri. Missouri voted 70% to 30% to overturn Obamacare in Missouri and that means that a whole lot of registered Democrats either stayed home or voted with that 70%

You hit it dead center. The explosion of angry voices was over the single word “LEGITIMATE”. Now, what would have happened if he has (more prudently) used the expression “FELONY rape”?
What would have been the outcry then?

Remember the congressman from Ohio they went after a few years ago for wearing a nazi uniform.... in WWII re enactments?

I sure do - he was running for Marcy Kaptur's seat.

The bad news? It worked.

I was one of those reluctant naysayers.
Reluctant? If you say so.

Just dont say anything else stupid, Akin.
A parting dig? I guess you were 'reluctant' to post that as well, eh?

Perhaps, but that wasn’t showing up in Rasmussen. I’d be happy to be proven wrong, but so far the only polls I’ve seen showing Akin ahead were the PPP poll with R+9 designed to keep Akin in the race and this one paid for by one of Akin’s biggest supporters.

I wonder if he has the same effect on the 65% of Republicans who didn't vote for him in the primary.

Would you be referring to the same 65% who are big enough to honor the results of that primary as opposed to the party hierarchy who aren't.

One of our local politicians got caught up in that stupidity but it died down for him because even here in the north we don’t hate re en actors for wearing confederate uniforms.

He’s a township official and even went so far as to provide photos of himself wearing a German WWII uniform next to the Ohio politician.

IMO, you won't be happy, especially then.

Right now I’m surprised he is close at all since McCasket controls the airwaves with her Leftwaffe dropping softball adds on veterans and the elderly, but most Missourians aren’t buying what she is now selling despite the GOPe’s failure to date to enter the fray against her.

Actually this poll sample is only +1.4 Republicans, so that’s better.

I really don't care what you think. The goal is retaking the Senate and kicking Obama out of the White House. Akin made the first goal much harder.

Yes, that poll that was R+9 was garbage, and Akin seemed completely unaware of that until Hannity pointed it out to him.

But I think it’s clear now that Akin would stay in even if every poll showed him down by 20. So let’s hope for the best.

The 58 percent may means that “liberals” are so uninformed they don’t know they are liberals.

Probably not. That, obviously was what he meant to say, but we have to be far more careful of what we DO say because the leftist media will take EVERYTHING that comes out of our mouths and try to use it against us. The other dumb thing he said was implying a pregnancy as a result of rape is unlikely because i=of biological “rejection”. Even if true, and its not, it was a dumb thing and insensitive thing to say.

Conservatives and the GOP, if they are serious about saving America from the Communists and socialists and leftist Luddites, MUST take over an EQUAL number of newsmedia organs from the left. Just FOX isn't enough, and even FOX, though excoriated by the left, DOES provide equal and balanced coverage. THAT is NOT what we need. We need newsmedia which just as biased towards OUR positions as CNN, ABC, CBS, TNT, etc are towards the left.

SECOND, we have to start a grassroots movement to TAKE BACK our schools and colleges from the leftists who have seized control of them. Not only do they brainwash future generations of Americans into believing leftist garbage, they are so busy teaching left wing propaganda and politically correct drivel that Americans have fallen FAR behind OTHER nations in the sciences and many other disciplines.

Kids today can tell you who the first black scientist is, but haven't a clue about relativity.

They can tell you about Martin Luther King and Selma but don't know the name of their own governor or who we fought our Revolution against or even why.

We need to start DEMANDING copies of texts and information about curricula at every level of education, we need to SCRUTINIZE, CRITICIZE and REJECT unacceptable material that the schools and colleges use, we need to take over Boards of Education and school systems from the "professional" educators and demand more input from US and from leaders in private industry who KNOW what the needs of the business world in America are, and DEMAND that these needs be addressed in formulating curricula while REJCTING junk knowledge about pointless politically correct crap.

These two points are CRITICAL to saving America and our way of life.

More conservatives need to read Machiavelli.

Tell me something I don't know.

The goal is retaking the Senate and kicking Obama out of the White House.
Well then you better go kick Reince Priebus right square in the gonads and tell him he might be helping in losing a seat if he keeps up his petty BS of withholding funds from Akin!
Or is this Senate seat "not that important" after all?

Akin made the first goal much harder.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Defiant and determined, Akin plans return to the campaign trail, joining rival McCaskill

Akin camp alleges threats to staff

Akin’s spokesman Ryan Hite confirmed that some members of Akin’s campaign staff, and some volunteers, have received threatening emails, some of which assert their careers might be ruined if they stay with Akin.

A source close to Akin provided the Beacon a copy of one such email that allegedly came from a GOP committeeperson in central Missouri. The sender’s name had been blacked out.

“Many within the Republican Party have noticed your energetic and passionate work with Todd Akin’s Senate campaign,” the note read. “You are young, well spoken, and likeable. I have spoken with many other state committeemen and women and there is a consensus among those who know of you that you may very well be a rising star within the Missouri GOP. But not if you stay on Todd Akin’s failing campaign.”

The note continued, “ I do not want to see your future in Missouri politics tarnished, and if you continue to support Mr. Akin’s bid for Senate by working on his campaign, the MRP will have no choice but to refuse support for any future political endeavors you may have.”

A spokesman for the Missouri Republican Party condemned such a note, and said party leaders did not condone such activities.
