DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz crashes RNC

by Francesca Chambers

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair and Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz made a surprise visit to the Republican National Convention Center (RNC) in Tampa Thursday afternoon.

Shultz somehow made it through the massive security perimeter of the convention and into the convention center where the press corps is being housed this week. The convention center is next door to the Tampa Times Forum where the official RNC activities are taking place.

Dozens of reporters crowded Shultz, who was wearing a distinguishable pink suit, as she walked down the hallway of the convention center and into the Google Lounge set up inside the bloggers room. Shultz made a brief statement to cameras inside the Google Lounge about the need to support the nation’s veterans, and then promptly walked out of the room. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) also spoke at the briefing about the war in Afghanistan.

The DNC and its surrogates have an office located just outside the security perimeter of the convention, where they have been holding briefings for reporters since Tuesday. However, the DNC chair herself had not been present at any of the party committee’s shenanigans until today.

How Wasserman Shultz, who is extremely recognizable, especially to political insiders at the convention, made it into the convention perimeter, with aides, is a mystery. Most likely, the DNC had operatives obtain guest passes to the convention that they later transferred to DWS.

She was probably given a pass used by one of the paultards like they did earlier to help the CP fools.

That would be my guess. As you point out, Paultards are the ones that let the Code Pink crazies in (since they are Paul supporters) and have been actively attempting to undermine the convention.

The RNC should also ban any more Paultards from entering.

Hopefully Paul is gone for good. These paultards have never had any intention of voting for the actual nominee, they hate social conservatives as much as they detest Romney, have been attempting to damage the convention from minute one, and are generally just making a nuisance of themselves. If Romney is interrupted tonight, it is a good bet paulbots will have had a hand in it.

Go away paultards. Good riddance. I am glad the local, state and national GOP is enacting rules to keep paulbots away in the future. Go try to take over the Democrat party instead. Go spew your loopy conspiracies somewhere else.

So what legislation supporting veterans has DWS offered?

What is up with blaming everything on Ron Paul? How about we blame Bush, Boehner, and every other so called conservative that votes for more spending, including Paul Ryan.

What is the point of this inane stunt?

Because his supporters are mostly drug addled, conspiracy mongering jacka**es who are doing everything they can to disrupt the convention.

“How Wasserman Shultz, who is extremely recognizable, especially to political insiders at the convention, made it into the convention perimeter, with aides, is a mystery.”

No mystery about it, anymore than how the gate crashers got into Obama’s shindigs over the years:
Unalloyed chutzpah.
Of course, public officials like Mayo-head holding offices of trust aren’t supposed to do things like that.

But, as we’ve seen time-and-again over the last four years—rules, laws, regulations, customs and social mores don’t apply to Democrats.

It makes it easier to avoid reality when you demonize the people who want to cut spending and return to the constitution. It’s actually pretty insidious if you think about it. I don’t think the Paul haters want to change things and restore the republic. Look at who they support. What departments do Romney or Ryan want to eliminate?

“Apparently Schultz and Sandra Fluke were a duet...”

I’ve often wondered why Fluke is obsessed with birth control. Do lesbians actually NEED it?

Looks to me like she was already “crashed” prior to attending the convention.

Thanks...No doubt about them being a pair.

It's really juvenile on both their parts and disgusting what the Rats will stoop to.

For these two the sun must rise and set on Obama’s rear end.

The DEm operatives are committing despicable and demeaning acts to get their message out at the GoP convention.

Who the heck runs security there anyway, It’s bad enough they are there,, to let them make policy statements or just generally stir up angst,, it says what they are all about.

Now if we could just get rid of the paultards on FR then the world would start smelling better.

I don’t understand how some FR people can cheer for this guy and consider him or themselves conservatives. If anything they are libertarians and, I know it might piss them off, but I don’t think they are as conservative as they think they are.

Seems that all the paultards want to do is disrupt the GOP election and that has no good purpose except to help Obama.

Makes me believe even more that Wrong Paul is one of George Soros’ puppets. There are some on here who say that “Paul isn’t the one doing this” but like his newsletter, he is responsible for it and these are his sycophants doing his dirty work. They represent him and are the feet on the ground in this election.

Their behavior just confirms my belief that I was right in not liking Paul from the start.
