Actress Betty White is being called on by fans to speak at this week’s Democratic National Convention.
The 90-year-old star, who’s an Obama supporter, is not scheduled to appear, but there's a petition circulating online urging White to introduce the president on Thursday.

why would betty white suddenly go political when her career is finally going well? She would not be well remember for her works, just this dumb political stunt where she is an old lady used as a show poodle.

Betty White is a good comedienne, but she is very very raunchy. It might be a good thing for them to have her, as she would not feel at all inhibited by the Democratic delegates who will be parading around as pink v!&*#&s, wearing rainbows, giving people the finger, shouting obcenities, etc.. I say, MAKE OUR DAY! Bring on Betty White.
