Call it "The Empty Chair Convention." Rick Klein, Senior Washington Editor of ABC News, just tweeted out this photo of the stage the Democrat convention will be held on (posted above).
As you can see, Klein's photo reveals the screens that will serve as the television backdrop behind whoever's speaking -- and it looks to me as though the Democrats intend to show an artificial sea of faces in order to make the convention hall look a whole lot more fuller than it might be.
If you look closely, they have three tiers of adoring, enraptured Obama-worshippers at the ready should they need them.
There's a lot of talk and concern amongst Democrats and their Media Palace Guards that for his big acceptance speech Thursday night, President Obama might not be able to fill the Bank of America stadium. There are also reports that Democrat operatives have been reduced to handing out free tickets to the event at bars and elsewhere -- probably in a frantic last minute attempt to fill seats.

For the first time since Reagan's re-election the RNC finally got back ahead of the DNC on stage design.
If Obama ran North Korea they’d have real people at gunpoint in the seats.
Perhaps the U-Haul that Biden had stolen, had 50,000 blowup dolls in it.
In the film biz it is called “tiling”.
What you do is lock the camera on a wide shot, then a section of bleachers is filled and filmed. The people are then randomized in another section and the shot is filmed again. This process is repeated until all the sections have been shot. Then the Computer Graphics guys stitch all the shots together to make it look like a packed stadium.
Hm?....I bet there were a lot of empty **chairs** in that Ohio State stadium!
Will they require the stadium goers to turn in their cell phones?

The RNC venue had a capacity of 20k
The DNC venue has a capacity of 74k.
They will move it inside. Say it was because of rain. Then the media will be out in force to apologize to the 50,000 people they will say were ‘on the way’ to the speech.
And .. I’m sure the dems will coordinate with CSPAN cameras - because usually their cameras do not move around a lot.
The reason I mention this is because I watched the RNC primarily from CSPAN - no interviews overlapping with speakers - no commercials - just you watching what’s going on. Loved it!!!
The question is will they bus the people back to where they picked them up or abandone them on the streets of Charlotte.
Ohio Stadium (the Horseshoe) holds a little over 102 thousand. Schottenstein Center, the Basketball arena holds over 20,000. If he had tried to hold something like this at the Horseshoe, well first Woody Hayes would come out of his grave to slug somebody. But in terms of crowd size he would have been lucky to fill a single end zone. He’d probably have marginally but somewhat better luck up in Ann Arbor.
