How long does it take to paddle from the Persian gulf to the US coast anyway?
Who edits this stuff?
I hope hese commanders exercise better judgment in this part of the world, than they do in their home. Otherwise, that’s a long way to sail, just to build an artificial reef.
Looks like we will be getting some Iranian artificial reefs soon.
Well, I suppose they could replenish their rowboats in Venezuela or Cuba.
It would be fun to watch them deal with the guys sortieing out of Norfolk.
Sighted Islamic tub, sank same.
Several supersonic flyovers at 200 feet ASL with a full ECM package on high would be some good fun ;-)
I might need to go on a, errr, “fishing’ trip” in that case.
Iran has been working on cruise missiles for a long time; and has doubtless had help from China and/or the USSR.
We are very vulnerable to an attack launched from the sea—and it can be launched from an old cargo ship.
Ergo, this does portend a potentially serious threat.
Teddy Roosevelt would never have allowed any part of the USA—especially his home state of New York—to come into the target sites of an offshore vessel.
Neither would he have waited to assess the good intentions of those ships.
Now, however...
I doubt the iranian naval could find the shores off our coast.
And I doubt they have a ship that could make it here. I have no doubt they would be very sorry if they did make it and find the shores of our coast.
Bring it!
...also, can you define “sailing”. I am certain they will be doing anything but sailing. Maybe measuring depth.
hopefully we’ve done our homework on Scud in a Bucket...
Politically selected muzzies working with virus infected computers using NORK technology.
What could go wrong?
I doubt the Iranians could deploy to the western Mediterranean much less the western Atlantic.
Only one reason for that: To deliver, by ship, a nuclear terror weapon in a major harbor.
