CHARLOTTEPerhaps acknowledging a potential weakness this November, several Democrats have used their speeches on the first night of the Democratic National Convention to promote President Barack Obama's record on the military.
At least three times, speakers, including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, have pointed to Obama's decision to approve the raid that killed Osama bin Ladensuggesting Obama overcame Republican skepticism about a potential raid.
"Some said he shouldn't move heaven and earth to get bin Laden," Reid said. "But President Obama made the tough and right call to bring the world's worst terrorist to justice."
Tammy Duckworth, a former Army pilot who lost both legs when her helicopter was shot down during the Iraq war, also brought up the bin Laden raid in her speech defending Obama on military issues.
"Barack Obama has also lived up to his responsibilities as commander-in-chief, ending the war in Iraq, refocusing on Afghanistan and eradicating terrorist leaders including bin Laden," said Duckworth, who is now running for an Illinois congressional seat.

Where is Mullah Omar?
More importantly, note how liberals really don’t believe either in the rule of law, nor in justice, but simply in power to execute what they believe is righteous independent of anybody else or any other institution.
Personally, I believe Osama bin Laden was guilty of many crimes worthy of capital punishment, but the real travesty is that the person claiming responsibility for killing bin Laden, was well educated and trained in the rule of law, in Constitutional Law, and elected to avoid any just judgment prior to issuing an order for the execution of bin Laden.
There was no due process, neither is US law, Constitutional Law, the Law of Warfare, nor International Law for the ad hoc unilateral decision to simply kill binLaden after demonizing him in the public perception.
He wasn’t killed as a combatant.
This doesn’t mean bin Laden was not guilty, but it manifests the civilian authority opted to use violence without justice to serve his desire to execute lethal power.
Since the person claiming responsibility for that decision relishes his behavior, he will have to answer directly to God for the taking of another life.
It would have been much cleaner had those in the rear, with judicial systems available to them, had simply charged and tried binLaden in abstentia with a formal hearing, then issued the orders for the sentance to be executed, instead of simply killing somebody out of a hostile act. Now they have given incentive to a virtuous adversary to justly and righteously oppose our actions, irregardless the guilt of bin Laden
...did we ever determine if the situation room photo was Photoshopped?
...he's a RAT page in Charlotte, N.C. during the speeches, but during the day he's selling sandstone idols of Odungo
With Democrats talking about soldiering I think a quote is in order, “Talking about killing? Y’all experts? Y’all know about killing? I’d like to hear about it, potheads.”
prolly shopped in also
