Democratic officials confirm to POLITICO that President Obama's prime time address will be moved indoors to the Time Warner Center.

The Thursday address was scheduled to be at Bank of America stadium — an outdoor venue with more than 70,000 seats. But forecasts are predicting thunderstorms, forcing a last minute change in venue.

It’s funny that the Dims were all hoping and praying that Hurricane Isaac would disrupt the Republican convention. Now they have to come up with a make believe weather event in order to save face at their own convention.

Locking out 50,000 people could cause a riot.

If they offered free beer and reneged they would have a big problem.

I LOVE the 2008 vs 2012 ad that shows Obama then/now saying the same lies.

Whoever did that should take wideshots from the Denver 2008 coronation and then juxtapose that against a 2012 wideshot of the empty Charlotte stadium along with rows of empty buses.....

You have just accurately described the delegates who aleady have their passes.
So mush for bussing in an addition 50,000 people.
Hey Obozo, we knew you couldn’t fill those seats.

The second largest crowd to ever attend an event at Giants Stadium was 82,948, as Pope John Paul II celebrated Mass during a rainstorm on October 5, 1995.

OK, I am going to predict right now that there will be a weather event, either real or imagined, that will force the speech to a smaller indoor venue.

I just read that there are 15K media pukes at his event, are they the only ones who’ll be let in?

Why were they planning an outdoor speech anyway? Isn’t it way too hot in Charlotte for that on Sept. 5?

If it were a true weather related postponement, it would have happened within 24 hours of the event. For them to do this A DAY AND A HALF out tells me they were NO WHERE CLOSE in filling the stadium.

Remember his announcement speech that he was running for a second term? The OSU arena in Columbus was only half full. They were seeing only a half-full Panther stadium at best tomorrow night.

Despite all of those bizarre groups you mention, remember there are still tens of millions of “average” citizens who revere Obama, even if they don’t know the definition of the word “revere.”
