The amazing conclusion to yesterday’s snafu involving the Democratic platform’s language on Israel. After an evening of bad press they decided to reinsert the language about Jerusalem being the capital of Israel, along with some language about God after people noticed that the phrase “God-given” in the 2008 platform had been dropped in the new one. Simple process, in theory: Have someone from the floor propose adding the new language, then let the delegates approve it via a voice vote. The result? A trainwreck so awful that even Paul Begala didn’t try to spin it.
As you’ll see, Villaraigosa’s astonishment that there are so many nays is palpable, and pure gold. Reporters were taken aback too:

I gotta say, I am enjoying the DNC a lot more than I enjoyed the RNC. Not that ours was bad, but for sheer comedy, this takes the cake!

I took a screen shot of the Utube of the amendments and posted it on my Facebook. I then shared the video on Facebook. We must make this go viral! This is a HUGE mistake on the Democrats part. The more people of faith that see this, the more will decide not to vote for ANY Democrats!

YouTube. This is going to go viral. The mask has come off the face of the democrat party. Everyone is going to see exactly what they are. I understand it's also going viral on Twitter. Don't know, but Facebook is probably also lit up.
The first two votes appear almost equally yeas and nays. The final, IMO, is more nays. The amendments had to pass by a 2/3 majority. It appears it went down in defeat yet Villagrosa rammed it through by fiat.
