Fact-Checking Bill Clinton

Bill Clinton was off his game tonight in one of the longest nomination speeches in the history of humankind. The former president began his DNC speech mocking the the very idea of self empowerment and individual success. After seeming to imply that he could work better with compromise than the man he was nominating, he launched into his trademark rhetoric:

In Tampa, we heard a lot of talk about how the President and the Democrats don't believe in free enterprise and individual initiative, how we want everyone to be dependent on the government, how bad we are for the economy.

[...]

We Democrats think the country works better with a strong middle class, real opportunities for poor people to work their way into it and a relentless focus on the future, with business and government working together to promote growth and broadly shared prosperity. We think "we're all in this together" is a better philosophy than "you're on your own."

Unfortunately for Clinton, the facts work against him. Under Barack Obama, more people than ever before have been reduced to government dependency. Offering meager entitlements in exchange for a chunk of self sovereignty is not only bad for the economy, it's antithetical to the spirit with which America was founded.

"We Democrats think the country works better with a strong middle class"

Then why are you doing everything you can to destroy it?

The Great National Amnesia: Clinton had a Republican Congress and he is taking credit for its successes, GW Bush had a Democrat Congress in his last 2 years and being blamed for the its failures.

Bill Clinton was off his game tonight

Because deep down he does not want Obama to be reelected. I firmly believe he hates Obama, but felt he needed to do this for political purposes for his wife in 2016 when she runs and people won’t blame the Clinton’s for the Obama loss.

“”We Democrats think the country works better with a strong middle class”

Libs project. We know exactly what they are doing by listening to what they say then believing the complete opposite, which 99.999999% of the time actually happens.

The sheer and utter amount of straightforward and twisted lies being spoken as literal ‘gospel’ truth was staggering and in full BS mode last night. The dumbfounded amount that escaped Clinton’s lips were both mindboggling and astounding for someone who actually knows he was feeding the people and sheeple BS. =.=

This current administration was elected into office based on flat out unchecked by the media LIES and they will likewise attempt to stay in office another 4 years based upon the same mode of operation: LIES! =.=

Every time I think I have really aged in the past 20 years I just have to look at Bill Clinton, who looks an 80 year old man with AIDs. But that snow white hair might be fake because when he was in his early 40s he died his brown hair gray to look “distinquished”. Every thing about him is fake. He’s never been nothing but a slick used car salesman. And growing up in the South, used car salesmen were a dime a dozen.

Agree.

If you read carefully what he said about 0bama, he damns him with faint praise. There is no enthusiasm, no ringing endorsement. It all sounds very “lawyerly” to me.

clinton did exactly what I said he would do. He oversold obama to the point of disbelief, actually praised Republicans, especially GWB, (his ‘adopted’ bother,) embellished the obama policies beyond recognition highlighting what as wrong with them, then iced the cake by giving people the clear choice of socialism, (obama,) vs individualism/freedom and free markets.

I think its worse than that. Here is what I think is going on.
It’s just Bubba covering his ass one more time!

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Clinton%27s_mortgage_deregulation_bill

In 1977 Carter passed the Community Reinvestment Act or CRA designed to encourage banks to reach out to low income communities by offering loans to minorities and the poor.

In 1995,and this is what Bubba does not want us to dig up, it would destroy Hillary for 2016,Bubba revised the CRA by making banks meet a quota for a certain number of low income borrowers. This forces banks to write lots of loans that they would not other wise have written because the government is forcing them to.

Once the mandatory laws are in force with penalties for banks not making loans the ball starts rolling.Enter Franklin Raines, Barney Frank and others and you have the sub-prime lending fiasco where America loses half it’s wealth in a matter of a few years and its all traceable to Clinton’s revision of a law originated by carter.
It’s our job to stop the bleeding.
The left has successfully tied what happened due to Clinton and Carter to GW since he never stood up for himself.
Time we stood up and told the truth about what really happened.

Exactly. Clinton recent remarked something to the effect that his window of opportunity to regain power using Hillary as a proxy was closing (weakening health). He knows that his only hope of being reinstalled in the White House is if Obama wins, followed by Hillary as the heir apparent. If Romney wins that would likely mean 8 years of a GOP presidency.

Viewed in this light, Clinton's speech last night was that of a rank opportunist so hungry to be back in the seat of power that he would heap praise upon his political enemy.

While that's possibility its more of a stretch than just Clinton covering his ass. this is a man who never has done anything for anyone but himself. The only reason he tolerates Hillary is that she has the goods on him.

If he wants to keep covering up what they both have done over the years Hillary needs to be potus.

But, the big thing is he needs to cover up the big screw up he did in 95' by allowing anyone to borrow money with penalties for the banks if they didn't.

He is responsible of the sub-prime meltdown and he does not want the truth out.
