True, but back then at least some of them were marketed as ‘reusable’. I read one that had instructions for washing, drying, and properly storing it after use. Yuck!

Marie Curie was Polish, born in Warsaw. Her maiden name was Sklodowska. She later acquired French citizenship, but she named an element she discovered polonium.

So, without abortion.. few women would have had the chance to finish school. With abortion, millions of children NEVER had the chance of their first day of kindergarten. So this is fair?

What about the baby girls who never even had the chance to go to college because they never got out of the womb alive?

She should’ve said, “Without birth control, women, all of whom are slut-whores, perpetually in the throes of heat, would be popping out babies because they’re too friggin’ stupid to say ‘no’ or keep their knees together.” I expect that, in other speeches this person gives, women are portrayed as strong, capable, awesome people who should be running the world. (But they’re too wesk to say “no” to sex.) Sheesh.

Don’t get sucked in by them. The topic is birth control, not abortion.

>>Also in many states it was illegal to give people information about contraception.<<

Holy crap! I guess moms telling their daughters about the rhythm method and lemon cervical caps put them all in jail!

Not really.

It’s easy in the “information age” to forget that MOST information was passed down from generation to generation. You just didn’t go somewhere to talk about sex, just like you didn’t go somewhere to learn how to cook. Moms told daughters and Dads told sons. Including how to prevent pregnancy.

The problem is that the libs can’t find the difference between “Birth Control” and “Artificial Birth Control”. Any dude that did time in the military (most American men) got the talks and knew about how babies were made.

Hellsbells in the year 388, Augustine of Hippo wrote of periodic abstinence to prevent pregnancy. Let’s not fall for the Margaret Sanger story of history.

Yeah, if having a right means forcing the taxpayers to provide a subvention for the exercise of that right or forcing one’s employer to pay for it, I’m waiting for my government-subsidized printer, ink, paper supply, layout-software and a government- or employer-provided rifle and ammunition so I can exercise my right to freedom of the press and right to keep and bear arms, which (according to the left’s “reasoning”) I am now being denied. And on the principle that Sandra Fluke applies in expecting exorbitant expenditures to be subsidized, it better be a really nice sniper rifle with a good, easy to adjust scope.

LOL. You must remind our foremothers. Our foremothers missed that too.

Look up Grizwald vs Connecticut, and the Comstock Act, and Eisenstadt v. Baird.

BC was often legal for married couples only. Condoms were sometimes sold to unmarried people “for disease prevention only”. Comstock restricted the dissemination of information about contraception.

Thanks for posting that! BTW, I believe it's spelled "Griswold" - maybe you're thinking of the National Lampoon's Vacation family? :)

I always thought the woman had the final say when it came to sex. As in “NO!”

Spread legs and bed flopping is not always conducive to earning a college degree.

Let’s assume they’re right, which is a huge assumption. So what? Are they pretending anyone of note is pushing to outlaw condoms?

That being asked, the self-importance of specialists is astounding. If this person sold wooden stools, they’d probably say civilizatiom is impossible without wooden stools.

I know what you mean - it's like I always say ... um, hold on ...

Really? All that they need to do is keep their knees together...but I wouldn't expect a bunch of sluts to know that, let alone practice it.

I am sick and tired of these lieberals constantly insulting the intelligence of the American people - if they actually had a point, it'd be an entertaining debate on a whole host of issues, but they don't so they just lie all over the place and hope enough will sound believable to drag them over the finish line first.

Then maybe the schools should stop bringing in Planned Parenthood to teach the kids this stuff. Stick to academics - that's what they're being paid for. Let the parents deal with the rest.
