"We're going to be here through the November election, and we're going to be here to win."

Those were the words of Republican Rep. Todd Akin late last month as he vowed to press on with his campaign to unseat Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill in Missouri,

-snip-

Well, don't look now but Akin appears to have climbed his way back into the race despite the battering he's taken from both sides of the aisle.

-snip-

...Akin clawing his way back within one point of the Missouri Democrat in the (liberal-leaning) PPP survey and into a three-point lead in the (conservative-leaning) Wenzel Strategies poll.

Don't tell my aged, widowed mother I work for the GOP-e! She thinks I'm an assistant manager at Chuck E. Cheese.

I wonder what Rove and the Geriatric Old Plotters will do to set this back.

Claim that he's running out of money and not paying his bills... it's already happening. These people really would rather a Democrat win than a conservative.

I agree. Look back only 3 days. I watched the DNC parade people in giant vagina costumes, distribute anti-Romney condoms(?), reject God, reject Israel, cheer abortion and infanticide, cheer Planned Parenthood, etc. And I'm going to condemn this guy for saying something that was dopey?

People had better wake up. Akin is PRO LIFE. Not pro DEATH. The DNC just celebrated and cheered DEATH.

I will try to send him some money, it sounds like he needs it.

If you bought any “Intrade” shares for McCaskill to win... now would be the time to sell... and fast.

Oh, they have proved that over and over. The masks were off with the O’Donnell race, Murkowski, and other contests. The Geriatric Old Plotters are holes in our bucket.

As everybody recalls, Akin’s numbers went down, but McCaskill’s didn’t go up. That’s usually a sign she’s not popular.

Claire McCaskill is in trouble which is why she’s trying to distance herself from Obama and didn’t show at the democrat convention.

With Slate as the source, we should not expect the truth.

There was not a single thing wrong with what Akin said. Very few people have taken the time to learn it. The knee-jerk fear demonstrated the the GOPe and bulk of Freepers is astonishing. When it comes to the defense of innocent human life in the womb, it is beyond time to get in the media’s face, not to turn tail like a bunch of pus*ies. There was no need for Akin to apologize, but to clarify, and say it more forcefully: we’re dealing with innocent human life in it’s most vulnerable state.

Donated a pittance to Akin today, and as opportunity allows, hope to donate more. Meanwhilke there’s a whole lotta Freepers who need to pull their head out and learn a little about truth, and a good many who wouldn’t know spine if it hit ‘em in the face.

I guess Karl Rove will be sending some of his SuperPAC money to McCaskill.

Only 3 points?

Dems can make that up easily. Looks like the polls will be open late in St. Louis again...

Love it. I'll be celebrating his victory. A victory won over both the Democrats and the RINOs.

“I believe we’ve turned the corner in the eyes of most Republicans,” Tyler said, arguing the national GOP remains a problem for the campaign. “If Todd does lose, it won’t be Todd’s fault,” he said. “It will be their fault.”

The Akin lynch mob here a few weeks ago was an embarrassment .. felt like a DU annex.

How inconvenient for the bandwagon jumpers that the guy's statement was born out by established research all along.

It was surely not what the feminazis or those cowed by them wanted to hear, but the data was there nonetheless.

If not for this shite economy vis a vis my little shop, I'd cut the guy's campaign a sizeable check tonight.

This just goes to show that the Media Mafia has limits. They were not going to drop this like a Reverend White controversy. They we going to pursue every GOP leader until they distanced themselves.

But there are limits. Akin is a relatively small target compared to Palin. Conventions to be held, hurricanes in the Gulf. Other ways to make the mainstream look bad. Akin is ignored and will be right back to his lead.

Alot of hand wringing here will seem silly.
