Yes, this is one of those examples where the armed robbers are charged with murder for an innocent civilian killed by police trying to apprehend the crooks.
What a lousy shame for this man and his family.
Couldn’t we pray He saves them?
IMHO, it looks like the local civilian police force reacted as best they could, to a really bad situation.
Tragic errors were made. The innocent victim died.
I know in my own state, if any individual is killed by police during an emergency responce to a crime scene, a murder charge is automatically added to the original crime filed against the perp.
Even if a cop shoots an unarmed partner of the armed robber, murder charges Will be filed against the robber.
I am all for shutting down Feds acting wrong.
In this case, it appears to be just a truly nightmarish situation.
You got any facts claiming otherwise, bring them.
Hmmmmm.
Sad. RIP.
But at least the police made it home safe!
It was negligence by the cop. One big rule is “keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target “ for JUST this reason.
I think the trigger weight will have a lot to say on wheather or not this was an accident or negligence.
I know you are trying to be sarcastically humorous here but regardless of whether the cop was negligent or it was an accident the robbers are responsible for this murder because their action precipitated the wrongful death of the clerk.
Yes, the robbers are responsible just as much as if the clerk dropped dead of heart attack during the robbery.
But the cop must also accept responsibility for his actions. Having his finger on the trigger was a mistake and no matter his intentions his mistake cost a man his life.
Anyone who wears a deadly weapon has the responsibility to maintain control of it at all times or don’t wear it.
Yes, but in this case the 'target' was ON the sights.
Scared cop w poor training and a tragic accident. Awful.
