Was Villaraigosa living in an alternate universe at the DNC, too? When the Democrats held a voice vote to modify the platform, undoing the omission of God and Jerusalem, chaos among the delegates ensued. It was clear to anyone watching that a 2/3 majority was not reached, even after three votes were held. After the first vote the chairman began to say, “In the opinion of the…” then he realized ‘hey, wait a minute, that wasn’t a majority’ and proceeded to finish his sentence, “let me do that again.” He did. The same thing happened and he just stood there, completely bewildered. The third vote rendered the same result yet the chairman came to the conclusion that a solid majority in the affirmative had in fact been reached.
Now he’s following DWS’ lead who, in an interview with CNN, said that “there wasn’t any discord [during the vote]” and that “it was absolutely two-thirds” -- hence Anderson Cooper’s observation that she must be living in an alternate universe. Villaraigosa responds:
“It was a lot of ado about nothing,” the mayor said Friday. Villaraigosa said that when reporters told him after the vote that they did not clearly hear two-thirds support, he responded, “That’s nice to know. I was the chairman and I did, and that was the prerogative of the chair.”
Villaraigosa noted that any delegate who objected to the process could have made a formal challenge within 10 minutes of the vote.
“Not one person objected. It’s more a media concern than a delegate concern. I can tell you this — the president of the United States said, ‘Wow.’ The president said, ‘You showed why you were speaker of the California Assembly,’” Villaraigosa said. “The president, the vice president, Mrs. Obama, all of them acknowledged the decisive way I handled that.”
This is laughable. Who do the Dems think they’re fooling? Watch the video again - the vote starts around the 2:00 mark:
DNC Floor Fight To Adopt "God" (Christians) and "Jerusalem" (Jews) Back Into Platform
Republicans need to follow Rep. Allen West’s lead on this one:
THREE TIMES THEY SAID NO TO GOD! [New GOP Ad by Congressman Allen West]
I seriously doubt the late inclusion of God into the platform was to assuage any “Christian” component of the floor.
It had to be that appeasement of the Islamic element was front and center in the decision.
...and the world heard your people booing GOD, too!
And I am certain he was not pleased with it at all
First, he knows damn well different than he “heard 2/3 vote.”
Second, “if” he believes his own propaganda, he needs to have his hearing checked.
His face, as the votes were being taken, told the story.
Another Democrat ‘leader’ is lying.
I am so surprised (not).
They are always fooling themselves.
>> I Definitely Heard a 2/3 Majority
Because the 3rd overwhelming roar in protest of God and Israel was just too hard for him to believe.
Yep, and I'm the queen of England.

Remember in the religion of leftism, lying is an indulgence that’s permitted as long it serves the “greater good”, i.e., expanding the government and getting more statist politicians elected.
Tony Villar is the man who expects to be California Governor and then President of the U.S. This lie is typical of the moral/ethical credentials we can expect from this Latino opportunist. IOW, he’s a typical Democrat.
Villaraigosa on lying through his teeth: It's true, I do that a lot. Hell, I'm a RAT. What else do you expect?
I've watched that vote multiple times from at least three different sources. The absolute best the RATS got was a 50/50 vote. No way that was 2/3. Villaraigosa is full of sh!t. Something that really bothers him I know.
The democrat party is itself a lie...
No democracy has ever been democratic..
Democracy was and is Mob Rule by mobsters..
When they act like a Mob it’s entirely natural..
To even BE a democrat is a slur..
Expecting them to act rational and honest is delusional..
After all, who are we going to believe: Villaraigosa or our own ears? ;)
What I heard was somewhere in the neighborhood of 50/50, and I couldn’t tell which way it leaned until the last vote, when there was, I believe, a slight advantage for the nays. A sad and sickening commentary on the state of the Democrat party. God is obviously an impediment to their evil plans. They flee His name as a vampire flees the crucifix.
Hmmm 3 times..didn’t Judas deny Jesus 3 times?
Also what a coincidence? or is it?
Los Angeles Mayor and his demons deny God 3 time and Beverly Hills gets hits by small tremors on the same day. Look Up Folks...Someone is trying to tell us something.
They are a sort of higher order natural process ~ and once the right things are done in the right sequence, they happen whether we want them to or not.
Let's take that Denial of God. First off that wouldn't have happened if some doufous hadn't taken a reference to God out of the Demo platform. That wouldn't have had any meaning except that some other doufous had removed ALL the other standard references to God out of that and earlier platforms.
This probably goes back to before LBJ ~ but once the sequence was initiated it was just a matter of time until ALL the references to God were removed.
It's just now at this peculiar point in time that it became incredibly significant that there was no reference to God in the Demo platform ~ and that has to do with Obama being their candidate. He and his bootlicking lackeys had no idea you couldn't get away with that ~ not even with Democrats.
These people are not only secular they are IGNANT.
The solution to the problem ~ once it was presented to Obama the right way (you gonna' lose boy) ~ was to put it back in at a session where the delegates did pro forma votes on amendments to the final platform committee product.
Villaraigosa is not the sort of guy prepared to deal with this. I looked through several bios and this dude was NEVER an altar boy ~ and he doesn't seem to have sung in the choir. There he is and they are voting on recognizing God.
What a trip!!!!
Just being one of the tools.
He did the right thing in my opinion despite the Communists on the floor.
