When They Come For Your Guns, You Will Turn Them Over
Whiskey & Gunpowder ^ | Aug 1st, 2012 | Jim Karger

“When they come for my gun, they will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands,” is a common refrain I often hear from the Neo-Cons when there is a threat that the US government is going to take their firearms.

And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. “You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands,” which I often follow with the question, “And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?”

As for the rank and file of the Conservative movement not very many identify themselves as neo-cons. Strange choice of terminology.

It reminds me of "severely conservative". Real American conservatives hardly ever combine those two words.

Your average military base doesn’t have the manpower to cover its priority resources and the dependant housing development. So the dependants would be quite vulnerable if the crap ever did hit the fan.......Espechially today with the Communist in the white house calling for massive cuts in our military force structure.

Thanks for pointing that out, puppypusher.

This guy needs a large shot of reality. The US military has wargamed them agains’t us already and they lose hands down so I don’t think forced confiscation of weapons is ever going to be tried.

But if it does the good ole boys of SWAT are going to be in for a major suprise. 20 goons with AR’s taking down 3 unarmed bro’s in a meth house is a leetle different than trying to disarm a bunch of sophisticated, ticked off and highly armed civilians. And don’t expect them to be standing in the middle of the street waiting to be slaughtered. Not gonna go down that way.

Wait until they are riding that snazzy urban SWAT truck down the street and they catch a Barrett .50 cal through the side and it starts ricocheting around in there like an angry wasp. And that happens all over town. Then the cops start getting calls out to deserted places late at night. They don’t come back. Starting to get the picture?

As far as the military goes we have over 100,000 highly trained forces in Afghanistan that cannot subdue a bunch of 7th century child abusing, goat loving barbarians. If those morons can blow up tanks and Humvees with IED’s what kind of sophisticated stuff do you think the genuises here will think up and put together in their garages while drinking a Budweiser?

Gun confiscation in the US? I don’t think so.

LOL! The guy is a Progressive and we know what Leftists of any color love to be.

I have seen a number of posts talking about incremental gun control. The slow but steady push to limit our right to own guns and reduce the number of guns in private hands. And that is what the Dem/libs have been doing for decades now. And this is how it has been working out in the last two decades...

If the lefties keep pushing gun control this way in another two decades one out of two Americans may be gun owners instead of one out of three.

MOLON LAVE!

What authority did they need in Katrinafied New Orleans?

Lots of people gave up their weapons during Katrina. I'm sure a few of them were used to posting "from my cold, dead hands!" on internet forums. Yet when the cops pointed their weapons and said "hand 'em over!" they meekly complied.

We have the leverage. That leverage is the self destruct button of the GOP. If that is what they want, they can have it. If they totally defy the pressure of the Conservative element there will be a 3rd and divisive party. It is up to them.

I know what Romney’s history is. I know what the GOPe is about. I also know that the nation is made up of people who do not support that.

First hurdle is to remove the Commie-in-Chief. Next step is to bridle the ambitions of the GOPe. Pray to God daily that he will deliver the nation.

We shall see.

I don't know the numbers, but it's more than one and less than a million. It isn't pretty either.

Of course, fighting in this environment teaches one how to do certain things. There are many veterans that can employ such devices with the advantages of modern training....and understanding how potential adversaries are trained.

M1s are about as indestructible as the Titanic is unsinkable.

Amen!

...what kind of sophisticated stuff do you think the geniuses here will think up and put together in their garages while drinking a Budweiser?

Consider, just this one thing, that the Punkin Chunkin devices are constructed for fun, imagine these folk getting down to serious business. Just for giggles the current record is held by 'Big Ten' a pneumatic device that spit the pumpkin 5,545 feet. Folks have the knowledge, tools, materials, and ingenuity to provide surprises unimaginable. Some mighty interesting conversations start out with, "wonder if..."

PVC Pipe, Spark Plug, Hair Spray, Improvised IED or Molotov Cocktail for example. All it takes is the will and some knowledge to do it.

That’s why there is all of the dumbing down in public schools and incremental-ism to produce a country of couch potatoes.

Disarming 110 million people “one small group at a time” could take generations.

Hm, you know they could do it on the sly. I mean, let's consider some "small group" of 'felons' -- what if Obamacare made failure to have qualifying healthcare into a felony? And what if it was treated as a sort of "administrative snafu" where you come in and sign some legalese form and that's that... until you try buying ammo on a credit card and the "felon" flag on your ID combined with your possession of ammunition gives them reason to throw you in the Clink.

Of course, if there is seriously any nationwide effort to confiscate guns under consideration, it wouldn’t surprise me to see plans where all the families of cops, National Guardsmen and Active Duty Military moved into safe, on base, guarded dependent housing just prior to the commencement of any effort at massive nationwide gun confiscation.

To be kept safe or as hostages for good behavior?
