Ads running on San Francisco municipal buses, paid for by noted anti-Islam activist Pamela Geller and her American Freedom Defense Initiative, have sparked controversy about hate speech and fears they could stoke more violence against the American Muslim community. The ads come at a time when American Muslims have suffered at least nine attacks across the nation over a two-week period in August.
The advertisements, cribbed from an Ayn Rand quote, state: "In Any War Between the Civilized Man and the Savage, Support the Civilized Man. Support Israel, Defeat Jihad." The Southern Poverty Law Center has identified the American Freedom Defense Initiative as a hate group.
The outcry has focused on discrimination against adherents of Islam, and rightly so. On Aug. 10, pigs' feet were strewed on the lawn of a mosque in Ontario, while Muslim worshipers in Hayward were pelted by oranges and lemons as they walked into prayer. In Illinois, an acid bomb was thrown at an Islamic school and shots were fired at a mosque. In both cases, worshipers were inside attending to Ramadan prayers. A mosque in Joplin, Mo., was torched and burned to the ground, and other mosques in Oklahoma and Rhode Island reported incidents of vandalism. In Panama City, Fla., a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a Muslim family's home.
Geller's ads demonize Muslims at a time when they are under attack.

This guy has the gall to add:
“As an educator, I fully support free speech and the open exchange of ideas.”
Then goes on to say why we should NOT have free speech.
We want nothing more...and nothing less.
But anti-Israel is okay.
islam has many believers who will kill another moslem just for talking to a ka'fr.
Odds are good that virtually all attacks on moslems in this country were carried out by other moslems of a slightly different denomination (they have 57 denominations BTW ~ remember Obama's states)

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you muslims do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Islam is an ideology, a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we Americans are the cure.
Muslims now living in fear in the US; at least they aren’t being killed for their faith as are Christians in many countries dominated by Muslims

The Southern Poverty Law Center is itself a hate group, so what they say is meaningless.
They do most of the stoking themselves.

I’m for a Constitutional Amendment specifically delisting Islam as a religion, removing all “freedom of religion” protections, and designating it as a political system inimical to the Constitution.
But you’ve got a great start there!
At least Christians have out-grown their habit of doing the very same thing in the name of their god.
I imagine the temptation to give up the reform is strong these days.

I’ve successfully argued that Islam cannot be considered a religion to begin with.
All of the living religions possess Moral Absolutes about issues like lying, murder, theft, and etc......the “Thou Shalt Not” stuff.
Since Islam holds many of these issues as conditional, I maintain this radical departure from Moral Absolutes (or Common Notions) that are upheld by all of the worlds religions removes Islam from being classifiable as a religion.
