Arrogant, aloof, and unprepared is how Bob Woodward portrays President Obama in his new book The Price of Politics, set to be released next week.
The book recounts Obamas troubled relationship with Congress, from his inauguration through last summers failed debt-limit negotiations, with Woodward concluding, It is a fact that President Obama was handed a miserable, faltering economy and faced a recalcitrant Republican opposition. But presidents work their will or should work their will on important matters of national business. . . . Obama has not.
Snippets of the book, as reported by The Washington Post, include:

I think he did the same to Bush and just about every 4 years.
Let’s hope this time someone reads his book.
color me amazed he’s releasing this before the election. Money before politics I guess...
The Democrats got Socialized Medicine. To them it was worth losing the House and Senate. It could not be overturned.
The Democrats are perfectly happy to have the budget as usual with automatic giant increases for systemic government handouts.
The Democrats are perfectly happy to govern by Executive Branch fiat, executive order, political commissar edict.
The Obammunist and his Socialist Comrades don't need a legislature.

Obama has accomplished SOMETHING ...
How about giving Obama a little credit for helping create the 2008 recession. Since 1995 Obama was one of the loudest, biggest advocates for exploding the subprime mortgages for minority poor people through the Community Reinvestment Act as well as protecting Freddie/Fannie from Bush’s the three attempts at reforming and reigning them in. In the newspapers this past week is an article explaining a lawsuit Obama was responsible for in the mid 90’s that now has 90% of the 180 families out of their homes unable to pay the mortgages they should have never been given. Without those tens of millions of subprime mortgages the collapses of Bear Stearns and Lehman wouldnt have happened or the 2008 recession
I don't like that guy. There's not much trust there.
Great post. In the late 90’s, Obama had a lot to do with creating the real estate bubble that burst in 2008. As President, he went right to work aborting the recovery that got underway on early 2009 by promising punitive taxes on “the rich”, taxes on fossil fuels, and rewarding his friends with green energy boondoggles.
The moment that dingbat Nancy Pelosi stood up and said with a straight face (about Obamacare) that “We have to pass the bill to see what’s in it,” there was no reason to even have a functioning U.S. Congress anymore. Save the country a bunch of money and just have the lobbyists run the place.
Woodward and Bernstein utterly overrated, along with their book. They’re both creations of the MSM and so 70s.
But for liberal teachers you’d not hear any more of them.
That was obvious when Obama gave that pompous speech at the 2004 Dim National Convention, and become more obvious each day he campaigned after announcing his candidacy in 2007.
The imbeciles that support Hussein will have to have it read to them - and explained in crayon pictures.
