Rush Limbaugh: Chicago strike is Democratic setup By: Kevin Robillard September 10, 2012 03:14 PM EDT
Rush Limbaugh said Monday a strike by the 26,000-member Chicago Teachers Union was nothing but a ploy to help President Barack Obamas reelection.
Lets just see how long this thing goes on, and lets see how it gets solved, the conservative talk show host said on his radio show. Anybody want to bet against me that Obamas the one that gets credit for this, in a few short days? Anybody want to bet that there might be a little bit of violence and finally Obama will have to move in and do something? He and [Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel] will figure this out so they get credit for solving it. Because, I tell you: There is no union that is gonna go on strike right now for the express purpose of harming Barack Obama.
The union started striking Monday for the first time in a quarter-century after rejecting a contract that offered them a four percent annual pay raise over the next four years. The union said it has concerns about how the school districts proposal handled teacher evaluations, job security and health benefits. Almost 400,000 students attend public schools in Chicago, the countrys third-largest district.
You watch, Limbaugh predicted, according to a transcript. Rahm Emanuel himself is the guy who said, Never let a crisis go to waste. We know that the unions, Obama and Rahm Emanuel, the Democrats, are in bed with each other. So this, to me, I think its a perfect setup.

I agree. My hubby and I said the very thing.
Me too. And before I read this I had that figured out. Rahm orchestrated this so that 0bama could be the guy who ‘SAVED THE DAY’ with negotiations.. Watch. This will happen sometime in October with 0bama as the hero.
Rush nails it as usual.
My cynicism must be slipping. I never even thought of this, but it is so obvious that I should have.
A Freeper mentioned this in a post even before Rush said it. Is Rush plagiarizing FR? He could do worse.
I don’t know if the Barry, the Buffalo soldier will ride in to save the kids, now that Rush has put out this possible scenario. I’m not a fan of unions, but I’d be upset if a paltry sum of 4% over 4 years was turned down. On the other hand, if the employer doesn’t have it, then at least I’d have my job.
Everything is a setup with this admin. Nothing is a coincidence.
That was 4% a year for four years. =16%. I’ll take it. Send the greedy bus tards home. Bet I could not do any worse. When 8th graders can’t read, even I would look smart. The union was asking for 18%.
Yes...I’d take this in a second. I’ve had very favorable reviews in a private sector job over the last few years and have been averaging about 2% per year because the economy sucks.
They should be jumping all over this.
79% of Chicago 8th graders cannot read.
Helluva job they’re doing.
“My cynicism must be slipping.”
I hate when that happens.
So, the Chicago public school system is merely the largest and most expensive babysitting service in the world.
“The odds in Chicago are that one of these ‘children’ that should be in school will be murdered or will murder someone while their teachers are on strike.”
Yes, but...
1. This would eventually happen anyway
2. This is simply “collateral damage”

Why is this from politico instead of directly from Rush?
October Surprise? . . There’ll probably be several. - Anyway, get ready for “HERE he comes to save the day; This means that MIGHTY O is on the way! On the sea or on the land; he’s got the situation well in hand!” - Hokey as all get out; but not beyond belief.
I admit, I hadn't thought of this angle, whoever was first to come up with it.
But Rush DID use my Tagline on the air one day without giving me credit. Actually, I wish he'd use it more, but the first time he should've given me credit.
