The day Ottawa launched an immigration fraud tip line last September, a Toronto man boasted to his friends how he scammed the system to obtain his Canadian citizenship.
Thanks to a tip, the man was flagged the very next day at his citizenship ceremony in Scarborough just before he was to take his oath.
He was taken out of the queue, denied his citizenship and blacklisted by Citizenship and Immigration Canada as one of 11,000 individuals from 100 countries who have been implicated in cheating to apply for citizenship or to maintain resident status.
“We are taking action to strip citizenship and permanent residence status from people who don’t play by the rules and who lie or cheat to become a Canadian citizen,” Immigration Minister Jason Kenney told a news conference Monday.

Remember the guy who failed to set off a bomb in Times Square a while back? He was a just recently naturalized citizen from one of the Arab counties. He’s now doing life, but have we bothered to revoke his citizenship? No....guess we don’t have the time for such a minor detail
Last week they closed their Embassy in Iran and this week tackled immigration cheats. They’re doing things right while we keep our heads in the sand and re-elect Obama.
For the record, Harper, Carney and Baird are boring and dull white men. They are also highly intelligent and extremely capable.

Slightly off topic , yesteray I went to a rememberance of a kids death.
We raised mopney, had games going on , and we also had fre food for tose who were there.
A family got out, they could nto speak English, they walked about, and then headed out getting their free food.
As a guy tried to stop them leaving to ask them why they did that, they drove off quicker laughing and the kids eating hotdogs.

I would wager an (educated) guess that the majority in western Canada are from Asia. Notably, Philippines and China.
I’m still in shock that this was reported in the Toronto (Red) Star. Then I was brought back to reality when I read the comments section below the article. Whew !! For a moment there I thought the (Red) Star had seen the light.
Sad day when the Canadians have more guts than we do on something like this.
