Statement on the Death of American Personnel in Benghazi, Libya
State Dept ^

Press Statement Hillary Rodham Clinton Secretary of State Washington, DC

September 12, 2012

It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the death of four American personnel in Benghazi, Libya yesterday. Among them were United States Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and Foreign Service Information Management Officer, Sean Smith. We are still making next of kin notifications for the other two individuals. Our hearts go out to all their families and colleagues.

A 21 year veteran of the Foreign Service, Ambassador Stevens died last night from injuries he sustained in the attack on our office in Benghazi.

I had the privilege of swearing in Chris for his post in Libya only a few months ago. He spoke eloquently about his passion for service, for diplomacy and for the Libyan people. This assignment was only the latest in his more than two decades of dedication to advancing closer ties with the people of the Middle East and North Africa which began as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco. As the conflict in Libya unfolded, Chris was one of the first Americans on the ground in Benghazi. He risked his own life to lend the Libyan people a helping hand to build the foundation for a new, free nation. He spent every day since helping to finish the work that he started. Chris was committed to advancing America’s values and interests, even when that meant putting himself in danger.

Sean Smith was a husband and a father of two, who joined the Department ten years ago. Like Chris, Sean was one of our best. Prior to arriving in Benghazi, he served in Baghdad, Pretoria, Montreal, and most recently The Hague.

All the Americans we lost in yesterday’s attacks made the ultimate sacrifice. We condemn this vicious and violent attack that took their lives, which they had committed to helping the Libyan people reach for a better future.

America’s diplomats and development experts stand on the front lines every day for our country. We are honored by the service of each and every one of them.

Instead of wearing an orange jumpsuit at Ft. Leavenworth, this clown is our Secretary of State.

Running away is the problem, not the answer. Bin Laden attacked us because as he said, while listing numerous examples since 1979: we always run away.

My condolences to the families of those murdered. That said... I guess neither nobama nor his quisling, hitlery clintoon, “answer the phone at 3 am”? It would be impossible to have more pathetic, feckless “leaders” than those two flaccid degenerates. What is next in their grand plan???? More US taxpayer money to these moozlum monkeys? Maybe sending a letter with some capital letters in it to the moozlum freakazoids, apologizing for America’s existence? Truly...could there possibly be a more incompetent, yet arrogant, couple of “leaders”. nobama’s touted “leading from behind” is just something coming out of his behind. Tool! Fool!

Check out what happened in history when the ambassadros and relatives of Ghenghis Kahn were killed by some Sultan in Persia. I decent go by for sure.

When dealing with people engaged in the middle ages, one needs a middle ages example to give them.

Damn sure don’t agree that our fine military is BROKEN, starved and abused is more like it.

Other than what about Isreal, I’m with you on getting out of cameljockey land and bomb them when they cause any trouble to anyone except themselves. Even the worst criminal will eventually learn to behave or be killed.

I am confident Romney will do everything it takes to get us access to our own abundant oil and gas and terminate imports from any enemy. Let the dumbass Europeans deal with them.

Obama and Clinton have now endangered all of us, and they have been doing it deliberately for some time.

We cannot avoid not speaking out about ewhat is happening in front of our eyes.

We have to engage people in our families, neighborhoods andworkplaces just how dangerous and incompetent and AMerican hating this President and his entire corrupt, MArxist Administration is.

Because in 56 days, if he is re-elected, it won’t matter how much we speak anymore.

More than just Obama and Clinton. The United States is crawling with towel heads. The State department is letting them in legally by the hundreds of thousands. Did so under “W”.

We are done. The United States I wore the uniform for 25 years ago is gone. I would not wear the uniform today. I advise my children to stay out of the military. The social contract is broken. The interests of the government and my interests no longer align.

“We should cut off all funding to them, get our military out of their countries, bomb them when necessary, and—most importantly—never import them into our own country. Keep the cancer out of the body.”

Worth repeating.

DariusBane, I cannot imagine how much it hurts you to write these words. Thank you for your service.

I have been on the phone to Senators and Representatives offices this morning to express how furious I am and to demand military action to retake these locations of sovereign American soil. I tell them I want to see the American flag flying from MY flagpole in Cairo by the end of the day, and it you are not willing to do that, blow the place up and abandon it, because we are not worthy of the sacrifices others have made for our freedom.

These raghead refugees from the 7th Century have a lot of nerve talking abiout being offended, when they deliberately did this on the 11th anniversary of 9/11.

I say, give them an anniversary to remember. Enough.

The marines are there. What are their rules of engagement and who issued them?
