Terry Jones Didn’t Cause Any Riots
Right Wing News ^ | September 12, 2012 | John Hawkins

Radical Islamist animals stormed our Libyan and Egyptian embassies. Four Americans, including our Libyan ambassador, are dead as a result. The designated fall guy for the latest example of violent, intolerant radical Islamists acting like violent, intolerant radical Islamists is Terry Jones.

Protesters angry over an amateurish American-made video denouncing Islam attacked the United States Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on Tuesday, killing a State Department officer, while Egyptian demonstrators stormed over the fortified walls of the United States Embassy here.

…The mobs were set off by Egyptian media reports about a 14-minute trailer for the video, called “Innocence of Muslims,” that was released on the Web. The trailer opens with scenes of Egyptian security forces standing idle as Muslims pillage and burn the homes of Egyptian Christians. Then it cuts to cartoonish scenes depicting the Prophet Muhammad as a child of uncertain parentage, a buffoon, a womanizer, a homosexual, a child molester and a greedy, bloodthirsty thug.

The trailer was uploaded to YouTube by Sam Bacile, whom The Wall Street Journal Web site identified as a 52-year old Israeli-American real estate developer in California. He told the Web site he had raised $5 million from 100 Jewish donors to make the film. “Islam is a cancer,” Mr. Bacile was quoted as saying.

The video gained international attention when a Florida pastor began promoting it along with his own proclamation of Sept. 11 as “International Judge Muhammad Day.”

In a statement on Tuesday, the pastor, Terry Jones of Gainesville, Fla., called the film “an American production, not designed to attack Muslims but to show the destructive ideology of Islam” and said it “further reveals in a satirical fashion the life of Muhammad.”

He said the embassy and consulate attacks illustrated that Muslims “have no tolerance for anything outside of Muhammad” and called Islam “a total deception.”

Mr. Jones inspired deadly riots in Afghanistan in 2010 and 2011 by first threatening to burn copies of the Koran and then burning one in his church. He also once reportedly hanged President Obama in effigy.

In Benghazi on Tuesday, protesters with automatic rifles and rocket-propelled grenades attacked the United States Consulate and set it on fire, Libyan officials said. Some news reports said American guards inside the consulate had fired their weapons, and a brigade of Libyan security forces arriving on the scene had battled the attackers in the streets as well.

First of all, let me note that I’ve never had much use for Terry Jones. He’s a small time preacher who wants to become a big man by being needlessly offensive and seeking attention. That’s what I thought of him during his Koran burning stunt and nothing has happened since then to change my mind.

Additionally, I haven’t seen the video in question, although my assumption is that it is probably as offensive to Muslims as Piss Christ was to Christians. That being said, if you want to see it, here it is.

LINK TO "Mohammed movie trailer" (near end of article): http://dustinstockton.com/2012/09/terry-jones-didnt-cause-any-riots/

Of course, those last two sentences get to the heart of the matter, don’t they? Christians didn’t riot because of Piss Christ. In fact, if Christians reacted as violently as radical Muslims when were offended, most of the newspapers, TV stations, and Hollywood studios would be in ruins today. However, we’re much more tolerant than that. We also understand that part of the price of living in a free society is putting up with things we find grievously offensive.

On the other hand, there are radical Muslims all across the world who believe that NO ONE ON PLANET EARTH has a right to say something that offends them on pain of violent reprisals. If radical Muslims aren’t murdering people because of a film that depicts Muhammad negatively, they’re murdering people over a book that offends them. If they’re not murdering people over a book they don’t like, they’re murdering people for being Christians. If they’re not murdering people for being Christians, they’re murdering people over cartoons.

Do you see a pattern here?

The whole idea that Terry Jones could “cause” murderous riots in Afghanistan by burning a Koran or “cause” riots in Libya or Egypt because he supported a YouTube video is pure insanity. Once you go down that road and accept that way of thinking, where does it stop? Are we allowed to express our honest opinion of Muhammad? Are we allowed to criticize Islam? Are we allowed to oppose Sharia? Can we even promote Christianity anymore or is that no longer allowed because Islamic radicals don’t like it?

The problem isn’t this film or free speech: it’s violent Islamic radicals and OUR GOVERNMENT’S DECISION not to gun these animals down. If people want to cast blame, that’s where it belongs.

They should read some of the blogs - they’d explode all over again! Not a lot of respect for their false prophet on the world wide web.

Terry Jones did not finance, produce, create, or distribute that movie.

He simply said he liked it and recommended it.

It’s like blaming me for the calories in a Wendy’s Double Cheese because I say I like them.

He can blame everybody under the sun. This is coordinated. This has NOTHING to do with a crazy preacher or a bad movie (which has been on YouTube for some time, now).

Terry Jones is a two-fer for O: he ‘made’ the Muslims mad, and you must never do that to a perpetrator; he is a Christian, so he is in the target zone just for daring to believe in Truth and Evil.

Jones is a convenient target for the islamic pig swill seeking to silence a man that dares call them out for being psychotic mass murderers.

Terry Jones didn’t produce, act in, or show the movie.

But some people (Generals, Alter Kaker) want to deny him his First Amendment Right to “Like” the movie, and perhaps even (gasp!) show it.

I might like to “Like” the movie and perhaps even (gasp!) show it. Does exercising my First Amendment Rights get me the Gestapo treatment too?

What about the movie 2016? Will Generals start calling everyone who showed or viewed that movie? I mean, Occupy Wall Street is probably pretty pissed about that movie, and OWS has been known to be violent.

Alter Kaker and the General’s standard is: “if it might piss someone off who is violent, you should avoid exercising your G-d given rights. And I say that while wearing the most powerful uniform on the planet. Kapisch?”

Even if Israel disappeared ....they would still hate us and would still do what they live to do to us.

Quit appeasing our enemies! Like socialism...it does not work.
It’s like paying ransoms with no good results.

General Dempsey should be censured for a blatantly political act.

He knew Jones had nothing whatsoever to do in the financing, production, writing, creating, etc. of that movie.

All Jones did was say he liked it and recommended it.

” it’s violent Islamic radicals and OUR GOVERNMENT’S DECISION not to gun these animals down.”

I think it goes beyond that. The jihadists are obama’s mercenary army acting under his orders. If that Kenyan traitor is given another term, he will smuggle that army into America and start a war. Mexican authorities just arrested a bunch of jihadists in that country. I believe they were heading to America to reconnoiter and clear the way to smuggle in Muslim terrorists.

President Buckwheat wants the border open and wants border agents to stand down in order to allow an invasion by his jihadist army.

Your tag line is so right on. I wish I had thought of it since it is what I have been thinking for 40 years.

It actually embarrasses me to know that we have to live with and have to endure so many idiot people who would continue voting for reprobates like Johnson, Carter, Clinton, President Zer0 and and all the lesser "progressive" reprobates.

I have advocated here and other places that as long as the American People are enslaved by our "progressive income tax" system, the VERY LEAST that ought to happen is tax returns showing a net positive payment to the U.S. be presented before anyone is allowed to vote.

If some kind of restrictions on dead-beat voters are not instituted soon, we WILL lose the country and voting "restrictions" WILL be imposed on us all.

...as "they" say....no pay, no play..

European History might have an explanation.

In 1683, King John Sobieski of Poland defeated the Turks at the Siege of Vienna. The date was September 12, 1683. For then, the muslims were driven out of Europe and Sobieski was called the “Savior of Europe”. The Muslims have returned to all of Europe. They have bitter memories and a hero is again needed.

Do not look to the West, especially the USA. We have a muslim or, at best, a muslim sympathizer in our White House!

“further reveals in a satirical fashion the life of Muhammad.”

That's the worst thing that can happen to muzzies. Make their sand pirate founder the butt of jokes. Nobody likes the realization that they've been following an assclown, but that has exactly been the case for a billion goat humpers.

Muslims are like leftists, especially leftist minorities,

always looking for any excuse to be “offended”
to justify barbaric behavior.

I’m sure this post fits the bill to a “T”.

Gen. Dempsey needs to be called a fascist to his face.

As long as Rev. Jones doesn’t call for violence, he can say anything he d*mn well pleases!

Shame on you, General!

Indeed, where does it stop? Things that Muslims might find offensive include the Miss America pageant, department store websites featuring female models in swimsuits, barbecue joints in Texas that specialize in hog ribs, the Trinity Broadcasting Network, McDonald's eateries that remain open during Ramadan, and on, and on, and on.
