For more than 24 hours, the internet has been abuzz with the New York Post's (revelation) that actor Samuel L. Jackson told Ebony magazine he only voted for Barack Obama in 2008 "because he was black."
For some reason, the folks at the Huffington Post thought this was a ("surprising confession")
Samuel L. Jackson made a surprising confession in the March issue of Ebony.
"I voted for Barack because he was black. Cause thats why other folks vote for other people because they look like them," Jackson said, according to the New York Post.
He contended that Obama's message wasn't important, since he believes most politicians will say anything to get elected.
Did author Alana Horowitz find it surprising that a black person would vote for Obama just because of the color of his skin or that someone would actually admit it?
The following sentence suggests the former: "However, (not everyone in the community) thinks race is enough of a reason to vote for Obama."
Not everyone in the community thinks race is enough of a reason to vote for Obama.
Interesting comment given how liberal media outlets like the Huffington Post have been telling people for over three years that any white person that didn't vote for Obama in 2008 was racist.

The real racist has been Barry Obama now embroiled in a foreign political media driven mess of his own fault for not paying attention. Fire Hillary? It will never happen......From the Halls of Montaummmmm ummm..to the shores of Tripoli....
I wonder in how many previous elections Jackson bothered to vote at all.
Mental midget. I hope he is proud of the outcome of his vote.
The Puffington Post was surprised?
ROTFLOLOLOLOL.
Mental midget ...GIANT RACIST!
It should read “I voted for Obama because I was a racist.”
More white people voted for BO than black people. What explains their votes, Samuel Jackson?
Surprising? Yeah, right.
We are not surprised.
Mr. Jackson’s problem is that he sees himself as a black man.
Before this, I had seen him as a man.
Why do people in his community continue to draw lines then scream racism when those lines are recognized?
Who gives a rip about anything related to Sam Jackson ?
On 09/11, our nation became one for a few moments.
And then the racists went right back to their business as usual.
When are folks like Samuel L. Jackson going to join the rest of us trying to make sure our nation actually continues on into the future?
Whether YOU WISH Obama were better or not, he isn’t. Reality demands that we either switch directions, or our nation will cease to exist.
So Samuel L. Jackson, what’s your choice?
Message to those whites: If you voted for Obama to prove that you are not a racist, vote for someone else to prove that you are not a fool.
OMG
Samuel Jackson is GAY???
...But will he vote for him AGAIN?
That’s the question
I couldn’t vote for Obama last time because I happen to look EXACTLY like McCain. Even though I am a much younger lady.
So, if Obama was not black, he would have voted for the Republican?
No, I doubt it. A few people crossed over because he was black, but not that many. Most Obama voters will crawl over glass to vote for the socialist. It made them proud to vote for a black man, they felt like it proved something about themselves, but had he been a black Republican they would still have voted for the socialist whatever color he was.
But, it sure is good to know that Samuel L. would pull the lever for Allen West.
“I happen to look EXACTLY like McCain. Even though I am a much younger lady.”
You poor dear. ;-)
Deliberately they made it into a ‘race war’ - because he could not win on the race on who is BEST for AMERICA!!
Using intimidation to manipulate is a KNOWN tactic from the pit/satan!
Idiots and all those who voted for this commie!
