More sniper ammunition being ordered by DHS. Who are the targets?

Surprise! The DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement have requested more ammunition.

However, it is the type of ammunition and not necessarily the quantity that is troubling.

First on the agenda is the .223 rifle ammunition. Just a measly 40 million rounds in the first year, and another 160 million rounds in the following four years. 200,00 million rounds in total. You know, just enough to make you cringe thinking that some government office that is not military has more ammunition than you do.

The .223 caliber round is a decent hunting round, but that is not the rounds to be concerned about.

The .308 rounds should have you a bit concerned. Quite a bit concerned.

Why the .308? Because the same folks at DHS think they need two types of .308 caliber rounds. Blank ammunition and 168 grain hollow point boat tail ammunition.

The blank ammunition will be spread to five different locations in the American south east and in Puerto Rico. The regular ammunition will be spread all over the US in a variety of places.

Once again, we need to remind Tea Party candidates that the explosive growth of authoritarian government exists not just on the left, but on the right, and that both are having dire consequences to our nation that must be addressed.

For many years America suffered under an increasingly burdensome welfare state, as our nation was parasitically drained of prosperity to buy votes and establish control over the citizenry, requiring people who neither wanted nor needed government largess to be part of the system of largess.

Yet there was clarity among the real right, that this path was unsustainable and destructive, which has led to unanimity today that this madness must stop.

However, in the last several presidencies, supported by many in the right and left, have led the way in creating an immense police state, with over 100 federal police agencies, and now armed non-police agencies; 16 major intelligence agencies; and a military oriented to vastly overpriced and vulnerable technologies, deployed to over 100 nations, but with a need to be deployed, at best, to one or two dozen places and areas of operation around the world.

All of this police state and military overuse must also end.

For this is also unsustainable and destructive, striking at the very heart of our liberties and freedom. It cannot continue. Yet until it is reduced to common sense need, it menaces our entire republic.

We can not longer delude ourselves that Islam can be tolerated within or without, pretending that Islam itself is not a threat, for it is like a man with a 2” knife, but who is willing to stab us ten thousand times with it, all the while calling us “friend” and damning us for thinking otherwise.

We can and should profile Muslims for extra security. There is nothing wrong, bigoted, or prejudiced in this.

They are contaminated with the worst of their kind, and they do not disavow them in particular, so it is insane not to recognize that they are not, will not, and never will embrace our civilization over their own barbarism, unless they show they will remain peaceful for generations.

While we may offer them the chance to prove otherwise, we must reserve the right to keep watch over them until they do so, to our satisfaction.

Off the top of my head, no.
But that hardly matters, Genevia specifies valid military targets, Hague is the one that specifies [un]acceptable weapons.

They will do what the British did. Hire foreign troops and put them in us uniforms.

That'd be interesting to see how it pans out.
I think people would demand some hanging gallows if it did happen.

It's illegal for use in combat per the Geneva Convention. Geneva requires FMJ.

That's not correct.

Firstly, the Hague Conventions, not the Geneva Conventions, govern The Use of Bullets Which Expand or Flatten Easily in the Human Body.

Secondly, the 168gr HPBT favored by long range rifle competitors and military snipers is NOT banned by the Hague Convention, as it does not appreciably expand on impact. The hollow point is nearly microscopic, and collapses rather than expanding.

That blank ammo is prolly for the laser battle training system. Looks like most of its going to the “American SE”. At least they know where they are going to have the most trouble subjegating the natives. They just got out the Civil War maps. LOL!!!

It can be spun a number of ways. Asking for UN help for help with domestic terrorists, etc. Putting a us flag on the uniforms to not freak out citizens, etc.

I know it can be done a number of different ways; but if it happens the results could be startling. (i.e. as evidence of treason; that is if the general population isn't dead-set on pulling a French Revolution on those that authorized/participated in it.)

I’m hoping they’ll be SCARED of those nasty gun-like-thingys that they don’t know how to work.

I'm pretty sure that isn’t the plan. Follow the money. Agencies have budget limits. If the "master planners" wanted to confiscate as much ammo as possible (aka back door gun control), one of the best ways to do this would be to spend out of budget surpluses (real or otherwise "found"), spreading it out over as many agencies as possible. This would lead to many oddball situations, agencies that normally have no purpose for ammo, suddenly and inexplicably having the motive and the money to acquire it. Just as we are seeing.

I didn't have this idea on my own. Local gun shop guy suggested it to me. One of the side effects is that ammo makers are running 24/7, supplies are spotty, and prices are shooting (pardon the pun) through the roof. Render hobby shooting or range practice so expensive that only the well off can do it, and presto, you have de facto gun control with no legal complications, like the 2nd Amendment. No Constitutional prohibition to the gov cornering the market on ammo. Assuming this theory is correct, these guys are like computer virus writers. They're finding and exploiting the gaps in the system.

What will happen to the ammo they've stockpiled? All depends on how you've tuned your tin foil hat, but it seems extremely unlikely to me it would be used by bureaucratic amateurs with American loyalties. There are other possibilities. Whatever happens, God is still in control. That is the one anchor we can trust during these troubling times.

I agree. The 168 gr HPBT is really just a spire point bullet elongated by virtue of the hollow cavity. That allows/encourages a faster twist rate and better flight characteristics.

You can make fun and light of them if you wish, but, Communists such as these have killed more people than father time. Do not deceive yourself, they have guns and when the time comes won’t be bashful about using them.

Working the math out, that comes to only 7,600 people that DHS wants to kill, using the Korean War numbers.

Except they didn't have lasers back then. Even an idiot TSA can line up a little red dot.

They are just buying it up so we can’t. Since they can’t take away our guns per the 2nd amendment, we can have all the guns we want without bullets.

The murdered ambassador was there ostensibly “tracking weapons”. What if this a Muslim Brotherhood division of Fast and Furious, and all these ammo orders are part of the deal?

Removing tin foil hat now..
