Chaos At The State Dept?
Powerline ^ | Septembe 15, 2012 | Steven Hayward

Posted on 09/15/2012 9:35:44 AM PDT by opentalk

I spoke with a well-placed journalist last night whose sources describe the situation at the State Department in one word: “Chaos.”

The working assumption is that several American embassies may have been penetrated, or are vulnerable to attack, because so many of them rely on local residents for staff needs at the embassy, and as such may be in a position to breach security if they have been recruited by Al Qaida.

...The consulate in Benghazi was an interim facility, with only a standard door lock for security, and worse, Ambassador Stevens was traveling with only a light security detail, rather than in the heavily armed convoys our diplomats in the region usually employ. The attack on the Benghazi was no mere target of opportunity spurred by reaction to the “Innocence of Muslims” film; the film is just a pretext.

The killing of Amb. Stevens was a premeditated hit, planned and carried out as retaliation for the recent drone strike that killed the number two Al Qaida operative in Afghanistan recently. The vulnerability of Stevens at the Benghazi compound was scouted out carefully.

After reading Caroline Glick, Daniel Greenfield and the accounts in the Independent and Daily Mail, there is no doubt that this was an organized military assault on the Benghazi compound, and a trap laid for Stevens.

The reason that Stevens was traveling with such a light security detail was that he believed that he had close contacts and good relations with the jihadi groups in Benghazi, and that his presence could diffuse the situation.

He was wrong.

Supposedly records were taken from the compound that disclosed the names of Libyans who were working as “sources” for Stevens. Initially, the fear has been that these records will be used for reprisals. I very much doubt it. I think they were removed for another reason.

The raiders of the compound knew where those records were kept. Doesn't that seem strange? Maybe, but not if it were the jihadis themselves who were the “collaborators.” Which would mean that jihadis had infiltrated the operations of the US embassy in Libya. Those records were taken so that the names of the jihadi "collaborators" wouldn't be retrieved by US personnel in the aftermath and the individuals identified.

Now, if that is what occurred in Libya, I believe it all too likely that jihadis have infiltrated many US embassies in the ME as part of a planned operation. I think that might be the source of the “chaos,” as the foreign service realizes the extent to which they've been penetrated by the enemy.

I suspect this extends far beyond security details.

Hadn’t heard of the doctor’s call. The facts of one of the most fouled up State Department details are coming together.

Thanks.

At NO time should local Muslims be allowed inside a US embassy. If US citizens are too expensive, there are plenty of non-Muslim Indians or Filipinos willing to work cheaply.

http://articles.boston.com/2012-09-14/metro/33818187_1_thomas-burke-libya-emergency-department

Libya is a country of nearly 6.5 million people, and the availability of emergency medical care can be summed up this way: It is almost nonexistent.

It is for that reason that a leading emergency physician from Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Thomas Burke, chief of the Boston hospital’s Division of Global Health and Human Rights, found himself in Benghazi, Libya, on Tuesday. Burke was preparing to begin a 10-year cooperative effort between Mass. General and Benghazi Medical Center to develop an emergency care infrastructure, when tragedy struck.

Just hours before Burke was scheduled to meet with John Christopher Stevens, the US ambassador to Libya, the US consulate was attacked. Stevens and three other Americans were killed, including Glen Doherty, a Winchester native and former Navy SEAL working for a private security company.

Burke’s colleagues had spoken with Stevens just 45 minutes before the attack, and Burke was on the phone with an embassy attaché when the shelling began.

“He yelled, ‘Oh my God, Oh [expletive],’ and then he hung up,” said Burke, who was in a hotel about a mile from the consulate when the attack began. “Then we heard these deep blasts. We didn’t know what was going on. Nobody knew if the whole city was being attacked.”

Academi, the company formerly known as Blackwater, was ready “two months ago” to go to Libya to protect diplomatic assets,

Had they been there, Libyan "civilian" attackers would be dead by the score and the body-guards would now be charged with murder. But Ambassador Stevens would be alive.

Blackwater would have to change its name again. But the ambassador would still be alive.

Rules for Radicals By Saul Alinsky -1971

"'The organizer's first job is to create the issues or problems,' and 'organizations must be based on many issues.'

The organizer 'must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression.

He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act. . . . An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.'"

Obama's community organizing was (is) based on it. Hillary wrote her college thesis on Alinsky

..And Huma's mom is best friends with the new First Lady of Egypt, who is also a member of the Sisterhood.

from wnd

..Huma Abedin’s mother, Saleha Mahmoud Abedin, a professor of sociology in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, belongs to the Sunni movement’s women’s division known as the Muslim Sisterhood.

...Clinton and Huma Abedin visited Saleha Abedin’s school in Jeddah, Dar Al-Hekma College, in February 2010. An Arabic news report of the visit said Saleha Abedin “beamed in the presence of Secretary Clinton.”

More from referenced wnd link

....The Sisterhood’s mission also includes organizing projects that will penetrate its prohibited ideology into the decision-making in the West in an indirect way under the guise of “general needs of women.”

Re: Remember that Hillary detests the military

Chelsea refused to get in a car that was to take her to school from the White House because it had two military people in it. They had to get out before she would get in.

There is no chaos at the State Department. Everything that has happened and will happen is the ultimate result of having two American hating factions within the Agency: First, every America hating Progressive/Socialist/Communist/Marxist the Clintons could find for nearly 12 years to hire and second, The Muslim Brotherhood as Huma and her family were ordered to do IMO. I cannot help but believe every action and statement from this State Department and this Executive Branch has to first be cleared by The Muslim Brotherhood. Thus could explain Cass Sunstein’s sudden departure. He saw that he was not THE final word with this administration anymore so he took his principles and went home. Wah.
