...I understand that America has decayed from a land of laws to a land of legalisms but the position that no one at State can say a word about Benghazi because there’s now an FBI investigation, and so it’s a sub judice police matter, and Sergeant Friday has flown out with an extra long roll of yellow “DO NOT CROSS” tape and strung it round the smoking ruins of the U.S. consulate and the “safe house” is stark staring nuts.

This is a security fiasco and a strategic debacle for the foreign policy of the United States, not a liquor store hold-up.

Boy, do you EVER have it right. If the world was going to hell in a hand basket, the Main Stream Media (MSM)not only wouldn’t cover it, they wouldn’t know where to begin. There isn’t but one or two so called (Journalists) worth mentioning. The fact that both Hillary and the President stood up there all DAY LONG, blabbing that an anti Muslim film set these people all over the world on fire is simply tragically stupid...both of them looked like they didn’t know where they were, or better yet, what was going on. Truly like the 2000 State-Clinton White House production of U.S.S. Cole -- this time starring Hillary! as herself.

And the movie's denouement came on September 11th of the following year.

Why does accreditation as experts make those people oblivious to the obvious fact that the 9/11 terrorists chose to go ahead in large part because they were convinced that America was too weak and indecisive to mount a stout-hearted counterattack? In short, the terrorist were sure that America was weak? You'd think that brute self-preservation would be enough to shake them awake.

Obama is often [rightfully, IMO] compared to Carter and the Embassy attacks are certainly similar to the Tehran hostage-taking. The difference is that, then, ABC would create a show, "America Held Hostage, Day XXX" that ran for years each night hosted by Ted Koppel.

As a young man more interested in picking up chicks at the corner bar than in politics, Koppel's show, nonetheless, got through to me. I think he played a big part in Reagan's victory -- much to his annoyance.

Something like that could never happen now. It's an illustration of how far the left has advanced in three decades.
