Prince Harry Safe in Terror Attack
Arutz Sheva ^ | 15/9/12 | Uzi Baruch

Taliban armed with suicide vests, guns and rockets stormed a heavily fortified airfield in Afghanistan where Prince Harry is deployed, killing two U.S. Marines and attacking aircraft in a major security breach.

The militia, which is leading a 10-year insurgency against 117,000 NATO troops, said it carried out the assault to avenge a U.S.-made film deemed insulting to Islam that has sparked deadly riots across the Middle East and North Africa.

The attack on Camp Bastion in southern Helmand province, one of the toughest battlegrounds of the war, started at 10:15 pm (1745 GMT) on Friday, said U.S. Army Major Adam Wojack.

The base was cleared of enemy fighters on Saturday morning, he added.

Prince Harry was never in danger, officials confirmed. Although the Taliban have vowed to kill the third in line to the British throne, one of its spokesmen told AFP that the assault "had nothing to do with the prince".

General Sayed Malook, head of the Afghan army in the south, said a suicide bomber blew himself up, blasting a hole in the perimeter wall and allowing insurgents to storm inside with guns and rocket-propelled grenades.

The present story is an example of British stupidity.

State Apologizing for an errant you-tube video knocking Muhamed is an example of American stupidity.

As for Israeli stupidity, I see it outside my window every day. The destruction of hilltop outposts such as Mitzpe Avihai on Hill 18 right outside said window all in the name of a piece process that if consumated along the lines of the Oslo Accord will inevitably lead to war.

Those are all the examples I care to give at this time. It’s late and I have a big day planned. But those readily available through your local wire service are legion.

So they wanted to kill Prince Harry but took out two Harriers instead. Maybe there was a translation error.

The prince does indeed go out into harms way with the rest of the troops. I’ve seen a story going back a few years interviewing his commander, but that was long after he was already at a different, undisclosed command. That’s the story in which he got the name “bullet magnet,” and that’s how one covers a story like that. Here they are revealing his present location, which is beyond stupid.

Well thank heaven a “royal” is safe. Perhaps if the British government hadn’t been so unforgivably stupid as to announce his duty station the families of two American Marines might not be grieving right now.

Now your “royal” family will be able to carry on consorting with Las Vegas whores and displaying their tits in public. You must be so proud....

Why wasn’t Prince Harry aloft in his helicopter attacking the Taliban?

You introduce criticism of the US and Israelis in a thread that had nothing to do with either country except the loss of two US Marines due to British stupidity and then, when I question you about this you are a little short with your examples and the cite the fact that you have a busy day. Criticize the Israelis all you like since you are a citizen of that country, but I take exception with the criticism of the US.

Matter of fact, you can take your criticisms of the US and stuff them, since you obviously are clueless.

“I ask again, how dumb are the British?”

Not quite as dumb as the Americans having no troops to protect their ambassador to Libya. If you believe the taliban that the reason they attacked the main compound in Afghanistan was because Harry was there, you’ve been watching too much al jazeera.

I can see you’re easily led by taliban propoaganda - if you think they attacked CB because Harry’s there you’re foolish.

Yes, I am proud of Harry. He’s a multi-millionaire who women swoon over and can live the life of a playboy but chooses to become an Apache pilot and insists on being posted to the most dangerous theatres. You should be ashamed criticising a soldier out fighting the enemy to protect our freedom while you sit in front of your computer.

As for your other comment, if you consider a woman being photographed on a private estate by a man hiding in the woods with a long lens ‘as displaying their tits in public’, you’re a warped individual indeed.

I didn’t criticize Harry. I criticized your governent for their stupid actions that led to two Americans being killed. If you think the Taleban didn’t lick their lips at the thought off possibly grabbing his royal ass you’re a fool.

The MOD should have kept their bloody mouths shut. There was no good reason on Earth to announce that information. None.

Exactly! Being a high-profile target, he should never have been sent there in the first place. Why should US Marines sacrifice their lives to protect British royalty? This is disgusting.

Coming back to this thread and reading your obfuscations lead me to a simple conclusion:

You are aptly named.

My problem with this article is calling this a terror attack. This was not terrorism, this was war. They acted as a military unit and attacked a military base. While I mourn for the family of the Marines killed in this attack,we are at war and this was a legitimate military target. Killing civilians and attacking embassies is terrorism.

Legitimate military target, yes. But a suicide bomber is a terroristic weapon. It relies on a breach of trust. As such, this is right on the borderline between terrorism and a military strike.

Yes, I saw the story prior to the attack, soon after the Vegas photos hit the papers. My first thought was the Brits were trying to get Harry some good PR.

The article I saw (and can’t find now, of course) said the reason the MOD was releasing the story was because 1) the last time Harry was sent over in secret, the news got out and they scrambled to get him back to Britain and 2) they figured with Twitter, Facebook, etc etc, there was no way they would be able to keep it a secret.

I did not see anything that this was a suicide bomber, it sounded like an attack.
