Rasmussen Reader subscribers can read the full Swing State tracking update daily at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. This article offers a combined view of the results from 11 key states won by President Obama in 2008 and thought to be competitive in 2012. The states collectively hold 146 Electoral College votes and include Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
All these contradictory polls are giving me whiplash.

That’s because some of them are intended to suppress your vote, eg. CBS/NYT and NBC/Marest, TIMECNN/ORC
we should learn the hard lesson fromn ‘08...Rasmussen was on the front of the whipping line as he constantly called the race 6% for obama and he took a lot of crap on the pages here at Freep...
i would not worry about other polls- polling is Rasmussen’s bread and butter...
Rasmussen is one of the few reliable ones, IMO. Most of the others are trying to fool you. The media has really circled the wagons in the last few weeks, and it’s getting much harder for the truth to get through.
What’s that old saying, “If you don’t like the polls, wait 15 minutes.”
But the media sez obama has the lead
can you post an excerpt showing the swing state summaries please
My question is at what point does the MSM throw Obama under the bus or do they ride him over the credibility cliff. We will know soon.
If someone shows me a poll and expects me to wet my pants over a RV poll with D +13 oversampling, I am sorry I am not going to do it.
I asked an ABR if he/she believed that the Dem would out poll the GOP by 10 percent, that people refused to answer.
I am adult and can take bad news, but I am not going to suffer fools.
Here I will help you. Here is the rating of pollsters by accuracy in 2008. Instead of getting whiplash, trying to follow everyone simply tune out anyone outside the top 5.

“Thats because some of them are intended to suppress your vote, eg. CBS/NYT and NBC/Marest, TIMECNN/ORC”
Exactly!
But, It isn’t going to work on my family. We will crawl to the voting booth to get rid of “dear leader”!
In 1988 Dukakis was up by 17 in mid September and Carter was ahead of Reagan up to the last week.
The MSM meme is to trumpet these skewered polls to engender a malaise in republican voters. This election cycle is the one where this tactic will least work. I live an Massachusetts and know the chances of Romney getting this states electoral votes are slim but they will have to encircle the voting precinct with flowing lava to deter me this year.
I cant trust any poll, even Rasmussen. The contradicting and oversampling is to much for me to use as a good judge of how this election is going.
I will use the 2010 election as a judge which is what leads me to believe R/R could win this election by a margin as low as 291-247 and as high as 346-192.
Lol.
In the movie his sister was really creepy when she said that.
Funny to see Daily Kos at 7th for accuracy, since it turned out his pollster simply made up numbers out of thin air. What does that say about the ones who did worse than that?
