What a shock. We have a huge number of lazy, Welfare State-addicted layabouts in this country who are looking for any way they can to live without working. As many of us know, its a freakin way of life for some people (I have some in my own extended family). Their eyes light up when they think they’ve found a way to get another government check. They rant and rave when a check gets taken away. And when you say, “Hey, why don’t you get a job to supplement those checks,” they look down at their feet and shuffle a little and tell you why they have to stay at home or how the only job out there is too far from public transportation so they can’t get it. We are a generation or two away from collapse as a society.

FWIW....at some point EACH ONE of us will acquire a “physical disability” interfering with or preventing our ability to work. It is inevitable.
Ask yourself: does freeloading exist in this country?

Freeloading depends to a large degree on if and how many years you have been paying your SS taxes/contributions. If close to normal retiring, then probably not freeloading.
I think “they” put this highly scammible disability program under SS because SS was (at the time) flush with $ and SS association inferred it was earned disability. Now its probable that most of the SSI is fraud.
Have a family member who got free college to become a “Family Counselor” then after less than a year on the job applied and got SSI because Family Counselling made her depressed and now unable to work in her trained occupation. No problem, here’s your free money for life. What a ripoff!
