COLONEL: HILLARY MADE DECISION NOT TO POST MARINES AT BENGHAZI

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Fox News military analyst Colonel David Hunt laid the blame for the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans at the Benghazi, Libya American mission on Hillary Clinton and the State Department: The State Department just allowed our guys to get killed. If you approve no bullets in guns for the mission security guards and an outhouse for a mission, you’re inviting it. Earlier, on Howie Carr's radio show Thursday, Colonel Hunt said that the American mission at Benghazi "was like a cardboard building, there wasn't even bullet proof glass." In addition, Hunt said the security guards inside the mission didn't have bullets: Howie Carr: They weren't allowed to have bullets, is that correct?  Colonel Hunt: That's true. They were private security. The rules of engagement were ridiculous.  Hunt told Breitbart News that the new State Department Rules of Engagement for Libya, approved and signed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton since the 2011 fall of Khadafi's regime, severely compromised the safety and security of murdered Ambassador Stevens and all American diplomatic staff in Libya.

Bet she resigns before the week is out.

But Hillary's ASSIGNMENT is to help get all US Embassies out of the Middle East. She isn't done yet.

That’s the old “bullies are always cowards” meme. I wish it was true.

Many bullies are cowards, not all. The world would be a much safer place if they were.

RPGs and other heavy weapons will take down a building and kill the occupants regardless of how brave or competent the defenders are.

Also, if they had known 10 Marines were on guard, might they have sent 200 gunmen or 300 rather than 125?

I have no doubt our Marines can defend against a multiple of jihadis. But at some point the correlation of forces becomes adverse and they lose. They aren’t supermen, and they don’t bounce bullets.

Gotta agree with that.

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but my understanding is that consulates are quite different from embassies, and are generally located in rented office space or a small rented compound, not in a custom-built building designed to be defended against attack.

Despite this, some of the stories flying around indicate a four hour gun battle, not exactly a sign of totally lax security. In particular, it would seem somebody on the American side had bullets.

I worked at the American Embassy in Cairo. There was often rioting and violence and normally it took one or two Marines to deal with it. That was during the Reagan years and every raggie new that each Marine represented a Sixth Fleet sized ass whooping if they went too far. Such is not the case now days.

But did those one or two Marines repel a determined attack by 125 organized and heavily armed gunmen? I seriously doubt it.

Does anybody recall an incident where Marines actually shot and killed attackers?

As you say, the point was the Sixth Fleet’s anticipated response, not the Marines on the ground being expected to hold out against a major assault.

I’d take your money all day if you’re betting on 125 thugs versus 10 United States Marines. Especially if the Marines have cover. Them boys is good shots. I wouldn’t want them shooting at me. And no, I am not a Marine. But I’ve been with them.

Is Romney going to be afraid to bring this up because he doesn’t want to risk turning off voters who like the Clintons?

You are missing the obvious. The security Marines are specifically trained for this mission and vastly outclass “spray and pray” jihadis. Secondly, a defensive force has the advantage of position while an attacking force is exposed. Would 100 al qaeda fighters have beaten 10 Marines? Unlikely but even if they had, they would have lost most of their force in the process. It only took one Marine with a .38 pistol to stop the VC attack on the embassy in Saigon in ‘68.

I agree. She blames obama and resigns. Things are getting ugly with the news about the blind sheik. Has bubba been on the campaign trail? Get the popcorn ready because they aren’t spinning their way out of one.

30 consulate staff did get out and the attackers were repelled by U.S. and Libyan security forces.

The "gay" community has tried to make an issue of it by digging up what they claim is proof that Stevens was gay.

BREAKING NEWS: Two sources in Chicago diplomatic circles identify Ambassador Chris Stevens as gay

Unfortunately for that meme Bush was the first one to send Stevens to Libya.

J. Christopher Stevens, U.S. ambassador to Libya, dies at 52

Mr. Stevens had served in Israel, Egypt, Syria and Saudi Arabia, but Libya became the center of his career. He served there three times, beginning in the years before Gaddafi fell, when the mercurial leader was trying to repair decades of poor relations with Washington. Mr. Stevens was the No. 2 U.S. diplomat in Libya from 2007 to 2009.

It's Bush's fault! /s

Susan Rice was one of the geniuses behind Slick Willy’s refusal to take bin Laden into custody when Sudan offered him up on a silver platter in the 90’s. Twice.

It must suck to know your stupidity is responsible for so many deaths — 9/11/2001 and 9/11/2012 — but then again she’s a democrat so I guess not)
