A newly published report raises questions about some established narratives in the early life of President Obama, suggesting the president's upbringing was one of privilege and not hardship.
The Washington Examiner published a 10-part report detailing Obama's path to the White House. Some of the information appears to conflict with the narratives the Obamas and the Democratic Party have pushed, most recently at the party's convention in Charlotte.
At the convention, Michelle Obama said they "were both raised by families who didn't have much in the way of money or material possessions."
Examiner Executive Editor Mark Tapscott questioned that.
"I'm sure he had a difficult childhood given the circumstances with his parents, but from a financial standpoint and social standpoint and so forth , it was not an underprivileged childhood," Tapscott said.
The Examiner reports that the Indonesian neighborhood, Menteng, where Obama's mother and step-father raised the young Barry Soetoro was the most exclusive in Jakarta.
Later sent to live with his grandparents in Hawaii where his grandmother was a bank vice president, Obama attended the exclusive Punahoe school. He later went on to Columbia University and Harvard Law School.
In his first job as a Chicago community organizer, Obama rejected more lucrative offers.
But while he worked in the city's impoverished Southside, he lived in exclusive Hyde Park.
Of his 12 years as a lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School, Time Magazine said in 2008: "Within a few years he had become a rock star professor with hordes of devoted students." But student evaluations obtained by the Examiner tell a different story. In 2003, only a third of students recommended his courses.

Prior to Punahou, Obama attended the exclusive Catholic Primary St Francis di Assisi in Jakarta as an Indonesian National.
At age 10, Obama arrived at the airport in Hawaii as an unaccompanied minor with foreign citizenship. Consequently, he was taken into protective custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Within a fews months after Obama’s arrival in Hawaii, the Soetoro adoption was annulled and Obama’s legal name was changed from Barry Soetoro to Barack Hussein Obama II by order of the Court. His original long form birth certificate was ordered to remain sealed and archived. The current record and the only record of birth that can be used at any court hearing or administrative proceeding is his short form COLB that was ordered by the Court after the Court heard testimony in the Soetoro adoption annulment hearing.
It was at this hearing Stanley Ann Dunham Soetoro testified Barack Hussien Obama Sr. was not Obama’s paternal parent. After hearing testimony and examining evidence, the Court ruled Obama Sr. was the paternal parent and Obama was to remain in the custody of Catholic Social Services of Connecticut with Madelyn Payne appointed as Obama’s guardian. Catholic Social Services of Connecticut was under contract with the U.S. HHS to administer the Federal Foster Care program. Obama was in the Federal Foster Care program from age 10 to 18.

Why would the court over-rule Stanley's testimony as to who the parent was? I could understand why they might remand custody, but this is more difficult to fathom.

So his original Birth certificate says Barry “something”, and not Barack hussein Obama 2nd as listed in his shortform? The original BC is what matters- your source to this is?
Look at the photo in the original story. Look at the last box. Here’s a bright guy who thinks ahead. He wrote outside the box. And they use this for a campaign photo.
I dont know but his original name on the original BC probally says Barry “something” — a guess would be Barry Davis, or Barry Dunham..Just a guess, but it could be really anything.. The Frank Marshall Davis theory is why i say Barry Davis.. But being that he was called Barry at a young age suggest that was his original first name

Note the “tax free trust” was sold, yet another trust is listed in his tax form schedule E, WH web site.
Freepesr have wondered why his house in Chicago has an attorney’s name listed as owner. If the house was purchased as an investment through the trust, isn’t it likely to avoid paying capital gain taxes? BO would not want his name, but the trusted name of his lawyer as agent for the trust on the deed? Research the land: Was it located in the area that was going to be purchased and used for the “Chicago Olympic”? Good investment?
Profits from gas/oil would not sit pretty with his base. It could also be seen as a conflict of interest: Particularly when he denies the Canadian pipeline and closes drilling in the Gulf. Would these two actions be seen as influencing the value of his assets?

Now, now, you know hussein's "inner circle" are just some folk in the neighborhood.
