Texas Gov. Rick Perry is accusing President Barack Obama of engaging in spiritual warfare and is urging Christian voters to send a message to Washington that our nation is about more than some secular laws and activist courts."
According to the Austin American-Statesman, the Republican made the claim in a conference call with evangelicals Tuesday, in which he warned that the "spiritual warfare," as he put it, "may be growing stronger as President Obama and his cronies in Washington continue their effort to remove any trace of religion from American life."
He added, "It falls on us [as] Christian warriors, Christian soldiers, and it's for us as Americans, to stand our ground.
Perry, who withdrew from the presidential race earlier this year, also dismissed the idea of separation of church and state....snip...
"The idea that we should be sent to the sidelines [is] driven by those who are not truthful," the governor said. "Satan runs across the world with his doubt and his untruths, and what have you, and one of the untruths out there [that] is driven is that people of faith should not be involved in the public arena.

Indeed, the anti-Christ might practice taguia. He might be a Muslim - overtly or covertly.
Oh dearest sister in Christ, I earnestly join you in your prayer! I pray every day that our Lord will grant America spiritual renewal and renovation.
Perry was "my guy," too, and for the same reasons you give. Oh well....
IMHO, America's "real war" right now is pressed upon us by "powers and principalities." It's a battle for the hearts, minds, and souls of Americans, conducted mainly by the Father of Lies, the implacable enemy of Christ and His Body....
Ours is (or was) a nation whose understanding is that we are a people "under God," in Whom we trust. Historically the overwhelming majority of Americans has regarded God as Creator, Eternal Truth and Justicer. In recent times, any such understanding projected into the public square has been rebuked, scorned, increasingly deemed "fascist," "racist," or otherwise found "unfashionable" according to the Spirit of the Age. (Which makes no judgments at all, preferring the state of moral relativism, which inevitably leads to chaos in souls and in the public square....)
But belief in God Creator established the core values of the freest, most peaceful and prosperous nation on earth.
Why would we want to swap this belief for "a mess of pottage?"
And so I fervently pray God to bless We the People of the United States of America, to grant spiritual renewal and discernment.
May God ever bless you, dearest sister in Christ, and all your dear ones!
I join in your earnest prayers for our country and I thank God for you.
